We booked the smaller, cheaper room, which if you are on a budget was more than adequate. Next time, and there will be a next time, we will book a larger room. The brekkie was superb, good quality ingredients which in these hard times is so important, because if you feel the quality isn't there, you feel somehow cheated… not so here; if you opt for less than the full monty they make it up in an extra rasher of bacon or extra tomato. Julian is a joy, with just the right amount of chat to make .
all reviews » From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome at the Aaron Guest House. Its location was excellent only a short walk into York centre with some lovely pubs and restaurants near by. Breakfast each morning was lovely, a great start to the day. We would recommend a stay here to anyone, couples or familys alike. Julian and his wife run a very warm and friendly B&B and we'll definately return in the near future. Thank you for a lovely weekend. Look no further, this place is great. Start the day with a delicious English breakfast and then walk to town which is 5 minutes away. There are affordable restaurants just around the corner. Comfy beds, good shower and the best wifi service we have had in 6 weeks. Julian is so warm and welcoming he makes your stay feel like a home away from home. Thank you for a lovely stay Julian. :). A friendly, clean and nicely furnished Guest House. The breakfast was excellent quality and was cooked to however you like and came in no time at all! It took us 10 mins max to walk into town and passed by cafe's, pubs/restaurants and shops on the way. Julian is very accomodating and let us stay on in our room, which was very kind. Amazing hotel! Julian the owner is LOVELY and welcoming! Breakfast is a full English breakfast and is amazing. The hotel is a 10 min walk to the train station and 5 min away from the main part of the city. The rooms are comfortable and cosy and the bed was DELICIOUS!!! Will absolutely recommend. my wife and I were very pleased with the welcome that we had from Julian, the room was nice and clean,and the breakfast was the fastest and nicest I've had. very convenient for going into York city centre. The welcome from Julian was very nice and he is a genuine nice guy we loved the breakfast which was just right amount for the wife and I and the service is top draw. This is a good guest house for the price we paid and Julian is great host and we will be back again soon. Parking right outside house was convenient,pleasant room and comfortable bed, ceiling fan came in handy. Breakfast was very tasty plenty to eat. Jill was holding the fort while the family was on holiday and was a superb host and a very pleasant. breakfast was very nice. Julian and his team were fantastic couldn't ask for anything more he was very tentative to our needs and nothing was a problem fantastic breakfast and lovely freshly brewed coffee in the morning just what was needed after a night out in York everything was spot on!. Girlfriend didn't like the big but quick spider under her bedside table that we failed to evict (it was very quick!). Basic, but then expected given the good price. The room was small but we knew that when we booked. We only stayed 1 night so it was fine. there was nothing to dislike.x. Nothing. Nothing. just one down side our room lacking en suite. bathroom was along landing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. We had no bad points about the guest house. nothing. Relatively short breakfast times (08:30 - 09:00). nothing. Nothing. A very small room and no TV remote. came by train, ok to get to hotel but the bus (no 2) did not back to the station, so taxi only answer. Room was smaller than expected and noisy plumbing. Nothing - a great guest house.
