Due to the tram system in Manchester, we found it easy to travel from this hotel to the (Manchester) city centre in 10mins or less due to the hotel being situated at the Salford Quays. The hotel was being refurbished at the time of our stay & we were both impressed with the rooms for such a budget hotel on how clean & organised it was run. Not luxury by no means but it was a budget hotel after all & we have no complaints about the staff or room for the price we paid for the 3 nights.

The room had a shower in it right next to the bed with air holes and as a female staying with two male friends I didn't feel comfortable, the staff were so happy to move us to a bigger room with a seperate shower room. The parking is only £3 per day which is very cheap and the hotel is very close to the tram into Manchester city centre. Loved the location, close to Salford Quay and local transport links. The car parking was secure and really cheap at £3 a day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had was a twin room which was spotlessly clean and well presented. Will certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family. We were impressed that the Ibis standard was well reflected in the budget hotel. A budget,basic,but friendly hotel located close to explore Manchester United Football grounds.Parking in secured hotel ground cannot be reserved, but ample public parking across the road, including 3 delightful restaurants and a pub to cater to your gourmet wishes.A regular rail transit service take you to Piccadilly, center of the city. This was my first time staying at ibis budget. It was very basic but very clean. I was recommend this ibis for anyone travelling to Manchester for a United game. It is within walking distance to the ground. A tram stop is only mins away for easy access to city centre. There is a pub + 2 well known restaurants very close by. Second time I stayed there, same impressions: convenient connections to the city centre (or you could walk, weather permitting; about an hour's walk by the canal), basic but clean rooms, ideal for a city trip and very budget-friendly (especially considering the prices of UK hotels in general). Staff were extremely helpful and professional. Room had all the necessary amenities. Very clean, great soundproofing and excellent value for money. Literally 3 minutes walk across road to Salford Quays Metrolink tram stop. Takes approx. 10 mins to central Manchester. Less than £4 return. The location was excellent for Old Trafford, The Lowry and the Quays. Lots of restaurants nearby. Two minutes walk to the tram system with frequent connections to the City and onwards to the Airport. Excellent service, clean rooms, great location, very close to Old Trafford beyond malls and the Imperial War Museum. Very good price. I loved the location, across the street from the canals. I also loved the easy access to the city and railway terminus. The staff were amazing - highly friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. The room/hotel was immaculate. the staff are friendly and the room was very clean with the tram service close by it is ideal place if you don't want to be in the city but would like to go into it, there is a good selection of eating places close by. If you arrive by car, and if you are staying more than 1 night, and, if you can find a parking space (I think there are only 20-30), you cant really move your car, as you run the risk of losing your space. Parking is at a premium and is shared with the Ramada next door. Rooms a bit small but the price more than made up for it. Beds too hard and pillows uncomfortable, only two on a double. Everything fixed on to the walls, so no cupboards or anywhere to put personal belongings except 2 tiny wall shelves. And just a plastic block under the wall mounted table top to sit on! Just 2 pillows on a rock- hard bed and only 2 towels. Buffet (and only continental) breakfast not good value at £4.99 a night extra. Other than another horribly rude couple who had stayed, the only other small thing was that it was a little further out than I expected, but that was my own fault for not looking properly! It was only £7 from Oxford road train station in a taxi during the day, and £14 at midnight, perfect!. -Missing sign for carpark as hotel is attached to another hotel and hidden from the main road. -£3 parking fee. There wasn't anything to dislike to be honest. leaving. I really enjoyed my time in manchester and the Ibis Hotel. The car park was not easy to find and the toilet is very small. The beds are to hard my back is still sore now and not enough pillows. The only issue was a little mark on our blanket sheet. We're only mentioning it so you check them all and replace the ones that have stains not coming off. It'd made a big difference. You're close to perfection! But indeed apart from that little issue, it was all excellent! We'll choose you again next time going to Manchester. There's not a lot going on in the area in the evening, so you need to go to the center for entertainment. Besides that, no flaws really. Finding it was a little challenging using sat nav. Would be helpful to indicate it is adjacent to Ramada. Surprised no showergel although there was soap on the hand basin. Could have done with a small bin in the room as there was nowhere to put rubbish. The shower cubicle was very small. small toilet area within room. Having to wait for cups to get a coffee in the reception / breakfast area.(not really a problem though!). A bit more description on the website of how to locate the car park would be appreciated. Just parking was hard to find as it was at the back and it was sharded with another hotel. Only 2 pillows per room - cricked neck for us both in the morning. that my stay had come to an end. Only one plug socket which was a pain between the two of us. This was also in a 3 person room so would have been worse had there been 3 of us!!. no Bar in the Hotel, you must use Bar in next door hotel. Would have liked a mirror near the plugs so that I could see myself when I used my hairdryer. Slight odour from sink that at times was unpleasant and the lift was unpredictable,having to go to the main reception area to get a cuppa was a pain but to be fair you got what you paid for. i noticed a little smell when we came back from the centre, but it was nothing pungent really.. I only noticed it this time.. i would recommend the hotel to look into the shower drain.. i think thats where it came from... Groups of young adults lots of drinking going on in halls etc --- fair enough but they should be seperated from ur families who are there for the football and not drinking !!!! I understand they are young and I don't begrudge them their fun but the kids don't need to see semi nude girls sitting around drinking cheap wine. Car park could be better sign posted. Drove past it twice before realising it is shared with the Raddison next door. I think there could be a better variety of food at breakfast. More choice of cheeses and some ham also. Limited parking spaces at hotel. Bed quite uncomfortable. No cooked breakfast. Nothing. The variety for breakfast should have more choices. Maybe have tea/coffee facilities in room. Small room, expensive breakfast, charged wifi. Young people running around the hotel at daft o'clock disturbing everyone. This sort of thing would put me off from coming back again. My family and I weren't happy. Room a bit small ok as it was only me and my son but I don't think it would suit anymore people. Only one pillow each and hard mattress. No family rooms. We had to have 2 rooms as max in a room was 3.
