I loved the entrance reception area and the bar area and eating area with the large screen tv. The ability to eat 24/7 with the light snack menu meant we didn't need to eat a full meal - could go out shopping for the day and return, relax and enjoy a snack in the bar with a drink. The railway close to the hotel was very useful for visiting London and although we weren't travelling abroad its accessibility to the airport is very easy. I was really surprised that we could not hear any of the ae.
all reviews » I went to this hotel for one night. The hotel is close to train station Luton Parkway, just behind it. Cleanness is perfect, my room was with sofa, spacious, with high speed internet connection. Exactly in front of the hotel is a bus stop for shuttle bus to get to Luton airport, the ticket costs 1,50. The bus goes every 10-15 minutes. I think this hotel is very suitable for travellers going to or from the airport. Might be for business, probably not for long stay, because it is too far from the. This is a superior hotel in a very good location, half a hour by train to London or 20 minutes walking to Luton mall (or take a 100 local bus from the bus stop outside to the mall). Good range of tv and radio stations. The Luton Airport railway station is right next door, although it is easier to exit from it (from next to platform one - ignore all the "Way out" signs pointing in the other direction) than enter it, unless you already have your ticket or enjoy fiddling with the ticket machine. This is now our 8th stay since it opened and it is now better than when it did open. The staff are welcoming and efficient and the hotel is now accessible from the train station which makes it ideal when travelling from London. A quick hop in a taxi next morning to the airport. We will be staying again. Oh and it is so quiet considering it is so close to the station and the airport you do not hear anything. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I slept very well - the breakfast was self-service and it was quite satisfactory. I paid £44 for my room and at this rate the hotel was excellent value for money. Super location for catching the train - right beside the station - and they can arrange cheap taxis to the airport. We stayed at Hampton in early December and had problems with cold rooms etc - this stay the staff remembered us and went out of their way to ensure that we had a warm room - the maintainance man was checking the thermostat as we went to our room - very impressive customer care for a busy hotel. We stayed there to be close to Luton airport but had a day to explore London and it was very easy to access given the location and its proximity to the train. Beautiful design, large room, the shower is great. Breakfast starts at 4:30 (hot meal at 6:30) which is great if you're leaving early. There were only some minor irritations. One of the two lifts stopped working after a few days and remained un-repaired for the duration of our visit. We used the stairs. The hot mushrooms disappeared from the breakfast menu, along with the bananas, mid-week, never to be seen again. Two chairs in the bedroom, not one, would have been better. We had some problems connecting to the wifi from our IPad Mini, but this May have been an ios7 upgrade issue, as the Kindle did better. Nothing to dislike. I can't get through to the hotel on the phone - I left something behind and I can't speak to anyone to find out if it is there. The staff seem new and quite inexperienced but very helpful all the same. Breakfast started at 4am which I thought was great as we had an early morning flight... No hot food available though even at 0630 - still preparing it - that was a major letdown as I'm gluten intolerant I couldn't eat any of their cereals or breads - I had a banana for breakfast... The hotel is situated right next to Luton Airport Parkway rail station - with no direct access to the platform on the other side of the fence - a 20 minute walk around Luton to get to the train station was a bit disappointing. We like to take advantage of leisure facilities but there was no pool or spa facilities. These 2 points would have made this hotel absolutely perfect for our stay. No single rooms available. The view from the window...but what can you expect from an airport hotel?. Food selection and quality was poor and they lack a proper kitchen. It's more of a bistro type restaurant and a good meal should not be expected by travelers. Validating one day of weekend parking at Hotel Reception was charged at £5, only to find out that if you use the machine located outside the hotel entrance you pay £1. The parking is advertised as £5 overnight for residents which I thought was a bit unfair and should be included for free. When queried they did cancel our ticket and provide it free though so top marks to the hotel for that. There was not a great deal to dislike about the hotel. The only improvements could be more of selection of tea and coffee. Also it was felt that 11:00 was a little too early to vacate the room. Nothing. The bed was comfortable, but a little on the small size...we are not particularly big people, but it was snug. No complaints will recommend and use again. nothing to dislike at all. Our flight was late at night and we decided to walk from the airport to the hotel. it was not very far, but i would recommend taking taxi, as it's not very nice environment to be walking at night. Also, wifi was not working the night that we stayed there, but i guess that was just temporary problem. N/A. Nothing. Hotel access to the station, which we were told awaits council approval. Nothing! Would definitely use this hotel again. Nothing. The menu it's sadly limited... very limited, the food - I had the chilli it wasn't very nice, portion really small - bland... bad example of food there. Dinner at night was only suitable as a snack. Included breakfast was just OK. Hot buffet food kept running out and there did not appear to be enough staff to cope with the number of diners. Everything was spot on. Parking isn't free even though there is ample spaces. Nothing to dislike. Nothing. I was not impressed by the evening meal. It would appear these days that Hotels are trying to make a profit by providing ready made, heat up frozen foods. The menu was very limited in choice. The quality of the breakfast could have been a little better. Location isn't lovely, but it's still very good for easy access to Luton Airport.
