Good comfortable room with a great breakfast. Hotel provided a ground floor room which we had requested. Easy walking to train and bus services. great pub only 100 metres away. The noise outside from the cars. there was a lot of empty cardboard boxes outside our bedroom window which could have easily been ignited by a passing pedestrian discarding a cigarrette as we were in the basement, and the fire escape was obstructed. I think all of the hotels in such a high concentration area of inns/b and bs would do well to have a very clear detailed map as a feature element of their on-line advert. Ours was hard to find initially and we saw various other confused patrons. Patrons who would not want to walk up the stairs should work with management to secure a lower floor. Two things you should perhaps know. Firstly, there are 120 steps to the top floor rooms, no lift (nor help offered with the luggage). Also, there are common bathrooms for those without en suite. One was next to my room and that particular wall happened to be paper-thin (while the hotel was very quiet otherwise). People took showers as late as 2 am. Earplugs recommended.Although the room and ensuite were both very small (which we expected) they were both spotless and serviced daily. Couldn't fault it. The "full English" breakfast was awful. If staying again, I would take the bed-only option.Many stairs and no service to carry luggage. The walls between the rooms were paper thin it seemed, as everything, chatter and movement could be heard next door and above. The staff dealt efficiently with extra noisy occupants.Narrow stairs. No lift. the breakfast though ample, was rather spectacularly bad, but then again that might be part and parcel of the authentic british experience. Shower was very small.I almost didn't go in because the entrance corridor looked so shabby, but I'm glad I did. The bathroom was tiny but given the price of the room that was a small sacrifice. Creaking upstairs floors (esp 6.30am). I was awoken by the hotel cleaning staff 2 hours before check out. This was really annoying because I'd had a late night meeting and wanted to sleep in. Check out is 10.30am. Also, after I'd been woken, the noise of banging doors etc by cleaning staff meant that I couldn't get back to sleep. Stairs can be a problem if you get a room on the top, specially with luggage. Shower takes some time to get hot, but it does eventually.The sound of the exhaust system in the bathroom and the kitchen. It would be nice if the light over the mirror in the bathroom could be turned on without the fan. I don't know how the kitchen staff keeps its sanity with the loud fan noise that engulfs the dining room when the door to the kitchen is opened. Could do with a bit of updating on the decoration,and a lift would have been extremely useful as one of my party was disabled and we had to climb two flights of stairs. for a double-bed De Luxe bedroom we were very disappointed about the size of the room (very small) and the view (a big wall in front of the window). There was no hot water.The bedroom was very small. The breakfast room was also small and did not have sufficient tables.

The Georgian House is in a great location to explore the city. It is an easy walk from Buckingham Palace, the King's Road and the Houses of Parliament, and close to Victoria Station with connections for all London and the UK.

The hotel was built in quiet, elegant Pimlico by the family in 1851, and is a beautiful reminder of days gone by. Many of the rooms still have their original fireplaces, ornate ceiling mouldings, shutters, French windows and balconies. Despite our respect for the past, we place heavy emphasis on modern standards. Charming rooms have private shower rooms, phone, TV, tea and coffee tray and safe. The hotel is still family run and has a wonderful warm atmosphere. Moderate prices include a delicious English breakfast cooked to order from top quality ingredients including eggs from the family farm and Musks sausages, favoured by the Queen Mother. Guest security is top priority and both buildings have new fire alarms and escape routes.
