What people say
I had a fantastic stay. Staff was extremely nice, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and nicely decorated. No charge at all for Wifi and coffee that is a great plus compared to all other hotels I stayed in. Goodluck with your hotel !. I really liked the hotel. It was small but cute. The location is good too. It is very closed to the city center, closed to the tram/bus stations. The shopping street is very closed. The staff was very warm. I liked the hotel very much. all reviews »
The owners are very nice people. They have nice touches like free computer to use. Pay snacks are available around the clock. Free coffee and tea around the clock. Heineken in the drinks machine. Friendliness and congeniality of the staff. At their expense, Pacalearranged to mail an article inadvertently left behind to me at myworkplace in Saudi Arabia.the whole atmosphere in the hotel is extremely good and positive. You feel like home immediately with the hotel staff's hospitality and friendliness. The owners are very nice and helpful, the rooms are clean andcomfortable, plus the location of the hotel is amazing!!!!. friendly staff, very relaxed no attitude, and good location and very good value. friendly staff, clean room, great location. staff, friendliness, room, cleanliness. Everything is perfect !. eye for detail. The hotel was located in the centre, the staff was very friendly and helpful, room was pretty big and clean, breakfast was included in the price which was very fair for the deal and we were very happy to stay there.Central location, friendly staff and added bonus of a ground floor room which had a small sunroom attached. Would definately return to this hotel and recommend it to friends. Great room for the price. The whole hotel is very clean, great location, and you get your own bathroom! Breakfast is good too, and the staff is friendly and helpful.Staff were great, room was clean and comfortable. Exceeded my expectations for a hotel in this price range. Clean rooms and friendly staff. For the price a very good hotel. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. location and staff. friendly staff,. The staff were all really friendly, chatty and always willing to help. This gave the hotel a real character. I have stayed in other hotels in Amsterdam before but not had such friendly and professional service. Would definately recommend the hotel for single travellers like me.The staff were very helpful and friendly. They upgraded me to a larger, nicer room, as one was available. They also allowed me to leave two large suitcases with them as I traveled to another city....sure beat leaving them at the airport in "left luggage" for a small fortune!. An excellent location for exploring the city. A great experience to stay in an old canal house rather than a modern hotel. Very helpful staff and a very good breakfast.it was a warm and friendly hotel;the all staff were really nice. I'd suggest Freedland since it was a very central place and really value for money. You are all very kind, polite and helpful! Simply the best!. the location of the hotel was in the center of amsterdam, great location. it was 2 mins walk from leidspline area and close to tram stops and easily reached by all kinds of public transportation. there are lots of cafe and resturants arouind you and it is 5 mins walk from rijks and van goh musem its excellent hotel! the staff was extremly friendly and nice to all residents, the break fast was good. This is exactly the kind of hotel I look for when traveling. The staff was so friendly and I loved the location. I actually prefer these more casual and smaller places to the larger and fancier hotels I tend to stay at for work. I just love to relax and feel like I am at my own home. They definately make you feel at home.Room was very clean and silent (at least the one I had, the #6); staff was helpful and very kind; both museums quarter and city centre are a few steps away, as the airport shuttles stop (Leidseplein). was very clean and accomadating not all matching furniture or any irrelevance like that but important thing for me is was comfy and clean and location is great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect...near landmarks and activities but not right in the middle of things to make it too noisy. Nice friendly, almost family type reception. Very pleasent room. Warm and comfortable. Hope to visit again and would stay again. The location is superb! The staff was friendly and always helpful. Friendly staff, good location, clean room. Staff was fabulous. Great location. Location, friendly staff. The staff is very nice !. The staff were excellent - helpful, friendly, approachable and welcoming. The hotel was maintained beautifully, looked great and was very comfortable. I had a single room which was charming. The breakfast was filling and very nice.A very warm welcome and friendly efficient staff. Hotel clean and well kept. Good breakfast. Comfy room if a little small but had everything needed. Nice touch was coffee and tea available in the hall for you to help yourself. All of the staff I contacted were friendly and kindly. Althogh the room is not so big, it is fair to room fee. Locatin is very good to visit musium and the other. The hotel staffs are very nice and kindness, they provided me all informations about the hotel and also sightseeing when I checked in.... The staff were very friendly. It was my first time travelling alone in another country so it was nice to have people so helpfull. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was cozy and clean. The bed was cloud-like. Location, very near to Leidseplein (2 minutes walking). Good prices and nice staff.staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet yet close to Leidseplein area, museums etc. Super location, clean and big rooms.Staff and service was excellent. Good location, friendly staff,. the stuff was excellent. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The hotel is excellent value. the location, across the road from the Melkweg is perfect.I loved the rooms - they were so bright and just the right size for a single traveller! The staff was also so wonderful!. The room was pleasantly decorated and the overnight staff were very friendly and helpful. My room did not have a douche and a toilet. I recommend you to have a room with toilet. The toilet was very small, I could not fit into it (imagine). The douche door is problematic. I got locked when I was inside alone. I would stay there again, but the site should tell people that it is number 5 on a map that lists 98 gay locations in Amsterdam for those not receptive to alternative lifestyles. The shared facilities, toilet and shower are extremely small. However everything was clean so not a big problem for me. The room is kind of small. The only negative comment was poor lighting in the room, difficult to read and write after dark. well, i booked a room with shared toilet and shower which was not comfortable lil bit, but thats what i booked. in all the hotel is really worth the money i paid.I found the internet access a little cumbersome... but I found that to be the case all over Amsterdam. I could rarely find a hotspot for my laptop or phone, which I use for work all the time. There was great connectivity at the hotel, but you have to repeatedly ask for 1 or 5 hour coupons to keep connected. I would love to see them just have an open wireless network with a password for guests. Breakfast is good and enough, but there are few options for those who like "sweet" breakfast.all good. although it was not a problem, it would have been nice to have facilities for making tea and coffee in the room. The stairs are VERY steep; anyone with mobility issues would have a problem. Also, as in many European hotels the rooms are very small. More manifold breakfast. The hotel itself it was excellent - but there were building works right next door which started at 7am (October 2008). This was inconvenient and may not have been a problem for all rooms, but it was annoying. I'd check to see if they have finished, and if not, ask for a room overlooking the street rather than at the back of the hotel. I had a room at the back so noise was not a problem but there is building work nearby but the hotel can not do anything about that. Stairs very steep but there are hand rails to hold on to so they were ok.No... even the sigle room is quite small but it's fine for me. The pillows. Woke up with headaches.Room was very small. no.
