At first the quietness was a little strange but after a while you soon get use to it. Even for a capsule, I felt very safe and secure. The front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. Great for getting around Kyoto and would stay here again. 8 days went very quickly and I felt happier here than staying in a ryokan.
As a solo female traveller, I would recommend this type of accomdation anyday.

I stayed in the "superior" capsules. I loved everything: friendly and helpful staff, facilities arranged in a compact space but in a very efficient and comfortable layout. The location is ideal: halfway between the Castle and the University of Kyoto campus on one side, and the old Gion district on the other side.

This place is amazing. I stayed for three nights and i found it impeccable. Please stay here if you want an excellent location, amazing staff, and quiet nights to fully recharge.

This is a clean place, with all the necessities and really close to the station and Kyoto attractions.

Sometimes the cabin was too hot and other guests do snore but take ear plugs and light clothes to wear in bed.
I was with girls waking up at any time. There is no door but a curtain on a cabid hotel so you can see the light from outside of your cabin even if it is still quite dark.
It is a cabin hotel and not an hotel so it cannot be perfect :).

But... I think the air is not clean, cause I kept coughing in the middle of the night and never have a good sleep.
For the price, I could have stayed in any business hotel, really... So well, I guess give this a try out of curiosity but nothing else.
There's no charging station in the capsule (naturally) so either rent a charger from the front desk or be cheap (like me) and charge in the bathroom. I think this is the deal breaker for me as I have a lot of gadgets.
