I asked for a quite room which I got. The breakfast was fantastic, hot and great choice. The bar staff very friendly and reception very polite and helpful. Leisure centre was a big plus. All staff were friendly and helpful,particularly in the Leisure centre. Location in city centre wasexcellent.Excellent location. Really nice hotel. Helpful staff. Free parking. Staff where very friendly and made us feel like we where at home.

Ate there twice and didnt like it either time. definitely not. rooms facing the street were very noisy at night when the window was open but as there was no air conditioning, the windows had to be open. heat in the bedroom. It was a very hot night. Our room overlooked the main road. We had to leave the window open due to the heat but could not sleep due to the noise of traffic on the road,. My room was noisy, but very few hotels are quiet these days.Wasn't due to check out of the hotel till 12 but at 9.15 house keepingwere knocking on the door and walked into the room. Bar atmosphere / design poor. Food in carvery was only average to be honest. Front of hotel on busy main road, so pretty noisy. we closed window because of traffic noise , which made the room too warm. Room rather too warm Radiator off but main pipe hot - needs insulated. There was no interchange between reception and restaurant and booking the restaurant could not be done at reception nor did reception know what deals were available . Reception did not give us information about how to get out of the car park. The room waqs in the front of the hotel and it was very noisy probably due to the fac that there was a function on and lots of people were standing around entrance smoking also when they were going home the noise was very annoying - a room at the back of the hotel would probably be better.I found that the day staff at reception were very helpful but the evening staff not as helpful. The room while comfortable had a few oddities about it. The hair dryer (in a drawer) had a mind of its own and turned itself on shortly after I entered the room. My guess is this was not the first time it happened as when I opened the drawer it was very hot. I reported this to hotel staff as it could be a fire risk.I thought that the jump in price for the last night for our rooms was extremely high €89 to €162,00 It was a Thursday Night so Im not too sure of the reason.When Iquestioned tjis I was told it depended on availibvility but I dnt thinkthat is a satisfacvtory situation. Road noise intrusive in room. The hotel is of a very good standard however the rooms could do with a facelift ! Very limited parking. Bedroom could have been cleaner, a lot of cobwebs. Otherwise clean. Alsofelt bed covers etc. were very dark, could have been nicer.
