All comfortable rooms at the property have en suite facilities and include a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The property has live music every Saturday night, with local 1 or 2 piece bands performing from 22:30 to 00:30. There are various places to visit in historic Waterford, including the famous House of Waterford Crystal, 10 minutes’ walk away, and the Bishops Palace dating back to 1743. The Waterford Museum of Treasures is 15 minutes away by foot. Local leisure pursuits include shopping, walking and fishing, as well as horse riding and surfing. There are also several championship golf courses in the area.

The room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. The staff were really friendly. There was also free WiFi which was great. I had originally booked for two but when an extra person decided they wanted to come I rang the manager and they were very accommodating and gave us a triple room instead of a double with a good discount. We liked that the management went out there way to make us feel comfortable. We were a couple of ladies traveling together. Our room was clean and comfortable. The meals we had there were excellent.. the music in the pub was fantastic (Kevin Fagen).
all reviews » Stayed for 2 nights from the first minute we arrived we were made welcome by Keith the manager , The rooms were perfect and very clean ,also breakfast on both days were as good as any hotel we stayed in if not better We will be back very soon. I found the hotel to be very comfortable, good bar and very good food. The staff really makes this a good place to stay. They are friendly and attentive. No complaints when I can in late and ready for breakfast the next day. I will stay here again. The place was very comfortable. The food was absolutely lovely. The friendliness of the staff and people that came in the bar was something not to be missed. Great position for the city. Would definitely stay there again. Beautifully clean and great beds. On arriving we did not like the look of the outsided of the hotel - but we are very glad that our first impression was totally wrong. Small matter but the ads could recommend a cab for those arriving by bus. Not one complaint. Walls very thin and could hear everything going on in the corridor and neighbouring rooms. No major dramas and all in all very good value for money for our one night, stop-off stay. Room didn't have chair. Room was on street and above the hotel/pub entrance so I could hear people talking as they entered or left. I could hear people in rooms with common walls either talking or snoring. Only two electrical outlets. Breakfast service awful. Lady avoided eye contact and in the end I had to stand up approach her and ask for breakfast please. Was an hour at breakfast from start to finish. Service was non existant. no elevator no telephone in room (some of us old geezers don't have cell phones!). reception staff in day were wonderful, in evening not so nice, travelled a long time just wanted to relax. tv didn't work requested someone to look at it - no-one came. Location not ideal as in residential area/School. Breakfast items been put away by 10 o'clock EXACTLY. no top sheet on the bed - just not something I'd seen before. no hot water in bathroom. A 5 to 10 minute walk to the city centre downhill. No elevator Live music starting at 10.30 pm. Room a little small. Outside was a bit noisy. Car parking arrangements. Expensive on street parking. When we arrived the receptionist/owner was messing around with paper work and did not attend to us.(seemed like he was nice man all the same) There was no remote for the tv. In the bathroom there was only very small bottles of shampoo but no shower gel.Just a little thing but I would stay here again. The fire alarm in the morning and the burned breakfast and toast.. It was awful!! No tv remote for my room!! Was broken but there should be spares. Bags of laundry lying around.Poor parking facilities. No adjacent car park. After booking received email that card info did not pri nt. Had to make international call. Bar music and traffic noise in room. Overcharged at checkout. Very nice and said they would reconcile account with a phone call. still having an upgrade by the look of the corridors but acceptable. Location stairs above a bar. Can be seen as grotty. Wasn't very impressed with staff or room aside road which as noisy. Breakfast was made on the cheap. Bought my breakfast elsewhere after first experience. The man at the desk was very rude, and made a mess up of our booking, he told us we were lucky to be getting the rooms, which we had booked 4 months in advance, at all. The beds were very dirty and a lot of us went home with insect bites. Kettle broke in rooms and rooms very cramped!. staff not friendly, sheets not changed during stay, towels not changed, no toilet roll, no milk for tea and coffee facilities, cups not washed. Noise from street Noise from band playing in bar (very loud in room). Unfriendly desk clerk, No lift to top floors, No remote for TV (staff never made effort to replace). Images did not reflect actual rooms.
