It was a true pleasure to stay at this hotel. The staff wereexceptionally professional and friendly and the food at Zaks wassuperb. The rooms we were given were huge and well appointed. Thedownstairs lounge was large and welcoming. Would definitely recommendthis to anyone!. Did a weeks touring of Southern Ireland and this was the best hotel we stayed in all week. Breakfast very good.

The hotel was hard to find. The address of the hotel is Christendom which was not understood by the sat nav. We had to ring the hotel to find out that the exact address was abbey road which helped us to find the hotel. a small point, but useful if you do not know where you are going... The hotel is a little out of the way making it a bit if a walk to the main town area but, this was not a problem for us since we were only there 1 night and got in after the shops closed.The breakfast was fairly average with the scrambled eggs being the worst i have ever tasted. Some work needs to be put into the breakfast, which wouldnt take much to make it better. Food slightly overpriced for the quality. The towels in the rooms were frayed around the edges which we thought was very poor for a hotel which was otherwise a good standard. Our bath mixer tap was faulty meaning we could only use the shower. I thought it was a little too far from city,huge detour was in place dueto road works, courtesy transport would have been a nice touch duringroad works as taxis were dear because of detour. Not worthy of the four stars a bit dated and the tv screen was the smallest i have ever seen a good hotel for the older person. no dinner being served ,very disapointed had arranged to meet my daughter for dinner in the hotel could not beleive it the reason why we booked was because for dinner there is nothing else to do up there then we had to change plans and drive in to waterford which we didnt want to do .I don't like seeing daylight through the ceiling.
