Portree Hostel is the only hostel in Waterford city centre and is just 7 minutes' walk from the bus and train stations. All amenities such as shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs and theatres are within walking distance. Portree Hostel has mixed dormitories, and 3 and 4-bed en suite rooms. A free basic Continental breakfast is available all guests. More Continental options or cooked breakfast is available for an additional charge. There is a lounge with cable TV and radio, and a kitchen with cooking facilities. Lockers and laundry facilities are available on site for an additional fee. There is private car parking and secure indoor storage for bicycles.

This is a very comfortable Hostel. Easy to find and close to all teh attractions. I really liked Waterford overall, there is plenty to do and see. The hostel was pretty easy to find and they had a free parking in a private lot, but with only a few spaces. Close to the busstation. I didn't have a great experience with the staff; they were just not friendly. The room I was in was extremely small and cramped. The sign on the front door implied that a continental breakfast was free, but a full Irish was 7 Euros, which was not the case. The rooms in the basement were pretty dingy. I've seen a lot worse, but for the price this wasn't worth it.

Please note, car parking spaces are subject to availability and there is a maximum of 1 parking space per booking. The property cannot accommodate long wheel-base vans and minibuses. For large vehicles there is on-street parking close by. Additional street parking is available for a fee. There is no charge for street parking between 18:30 and 08:30.
