The staff and the food were excellent The freshly cooked delicious breakfast was particularly good.Plenty of buzz around the hotel with live music every night in the bar.Bed comfortable and bedroom quiet although it was right over front door on Street.Coffee making facility in room . Kinsale is a lovely town and this hotel has a prime location, our room was huge and luxurious with a really comfy bed, nice bathroom products, very good breakfast with most variety of anywhere we stayed in Ireland. Australian receptionist who checked us out was friendly and helpful.
all reviews » Love the food friendliness ,and the music in hotel each night. It was my second time there this year. I would recommend it to my friends. It's location is perfect. Would be glad to hear of good offers any time of year. We had to be used to the Bank House and it was handled really well. Magda was just superb. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and breakfast superb too. Good reception on WiFi. We have stayed before and as always staff were friendly and welcoming, rooms warm and comfortable and the value for money unbeatable. See you again!. Room was great except for the fact it faced a Eurospar on the main street with deliveries from large trucks from 6am.Very noisy. rooms very hot and unable to turn down heating in the room. Our room was at the front of the hotel and could hear all the noise on the streets below throughout the night due to the old windows in the room.Something they should look at replacing. room small, bathroom tiny. Only one tiny shelf in bathroom for toiletries. Breakfast disappointing. the size of the room it was too small. We had a very small room and the bed was small too (latter more an issue), We booked through hotel site so not sure if that is a standard room. I would gladly recommend the hotel but would be reluctant for more mature couple (parents go to Kinsale regularly), Room No. 21, if there are bigger rooms, slightly bigger beds would gladly do so. Ps: we are not big people :). The room was a little dingy. I had to park 5 mins round the corner. NotHing. Liked everything. Filthy worn stairs carpet. No lift to second floor. 3 inch step into bathroom guaranteed to cause broken toes or worse. (I had to put a pillow there to remind us not to damage our feet). Old world shower unit. Flaking paint on ceiling. Expensive for what was on offer. No car park. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were a travesty. Web site images of hotel dishonest. Noise from other rooms - particularly upstairs. Lack of dedicated parking. Smallest double room ever been in in 40 years.. Though room was clean the general cleanliness of hotel was very poor with very soiled carpets through hotel Your description of Boutique hotel far from reality. The room was very small with an entry designed for a hobbit. Faced street with too much noise and light. Curtains inadequate. No elevator.
