The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great (I had fish with herbs; there was also Salmon, full Irish breakfast, cereal, toast, etc). The room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The location was just perfect, so close to the peer, the bus stop, a couple of supermarkets, the tourist information office and in general everything. Kinsale itself was really nice. The room had a kettle, coffee and tea, which was a nice touch (and apparently very common in Ireland).
all reviews » Beautifully decorated to provide a mood of friendly family run hotel room I stayed in was comfortable, warm with the portal door to the shower and wc a nice themed touch along with the frame room picturs displaying the maritime nature of Kinsale. Friendly welcoming staff, good food. Beautiful food in bistro & bar which is very convenient when travelling with a small child - great to get good quality food in a relaxed setting where having an infant with us was not an issue. In fact staff were very pleasant & chatty with our little boy. The rooms were lovely, great breakfasts, good live music in bar at night. We were given a room on 2nd floor and requested a move to 1st floor as my husband is recovering from major surgery, staff could not have been more helpful. The staff, from check-in to check-out, was extremely kind and informative. Our room was large, well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The lively "funky Irish band" Monday evening was a highlight. Very friendly and helpful staff, very personable and genuine. Modern and stylish decor, quality surroundings and good food - a great experience and highly recommended. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It was rather noisy on Sunday night: you could hear music and people laughing loudly downstairs (I was on the first floor). Personally it didn't bother me much but I can imagine it could be a problem for some people. Narrow stairs - had to get to second floor with baggage & 9 month old in tow! No lift so not suitable for wheel chair users or those who find stairs a problem either!. Nothing, no dislikes. nothing that comes to mind. A bit noisy with bands playing nearby and woken up by a drunk outside. We were there in very hot weather (for Ireland) and room was quite stuffy. A fan would have been good. No lift so we had to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs. No fault of the hotel really but there's no parking and there are no lifts - although it's only a three storey building. Parking is available nearby but it's not associated with the hotel in anyway. You may end up walking a bit with your luggage. No on site parking. With window open there was quite a noise from the street and venue below. Door banging between reception and breakfast room (needs a soft door close unit installed). the noise- which could'nt be helped as they are situated on a very busy corner in the centre of town. The stairs were tough with our large heavy luggage. Can't think of much... there is no lift. no elevators. hard to get parking. Our room was too small and the shower water was not hot until after 6:30 am. small rooms, parking difficult, compared to other bookings not value for money - too expensive. Rooms hot and no fan or air conditioning. Very expensive for B&B. stairs and no lift.
