A great stay here. The staff were brilliant and it was difficult to fault this place in any way. Bang in the centre of town and handy for pubs and restaurants as well as the castle and cathedral. When we arrived our room had been set out for someone having an anniversary with towels sculpted as swans on the bed and fresh flowers and fudge truffles. We rang down to reception to say we thought we were in the wrong room - they immediately rang back and said 'Our mistake - just enjoy' Buffet style .

Friendliest hotel staff we have ever met, nothing seemed to be any trouble for them Our room (No:224) was very big, very clean and bright. Tea & coffee makings were waiting for us. Breakfast - a comprehensive buffet, with tea & coffee served by the most welcoming waitress we've encountered, never mind first thing in the morning. Parking is available free, on site. I'm reviewing this on behalf of my parents who I booked to stay here for a few days for their 40th wedding anniversary. Thank you so much for making it so enjoyable, and for arranging the special requests I put in for them. They loved the room, the food, the facilities and the cleanliness of this hotel, but most of all they found the staff so helpful, friendly and professional that it really made their stay perfect!. Location was perfect for enjoying all that the city has to offer. All staff are really helpful and pleasant especially Lucy the deputy manager who sorted out a problem we had with our room and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and valued customers for the rest of the weekend .Thanks again. Breakfast and lunch were excellent and all areas were spotlessly clean. The Hotel is in an excellent location for seeing the sights of Kilkenny. It is also close to many bars and restaurants. The bedrooms are large, comfortabke and clean. We liked the tea/coffee making facility and also toiletries in bathroom. Also a nice touch was drinking water available when you entered the hotel. Excellent accommodation. The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating (all-reception staff, dining hall staff) . The hotel was very clean, the room was big , clean, the bad was comfortable. Large and comfortable bathrooms. Free private parking. Free wi-fi, Good breakfast. Very good location. The Pembroke was excellent. I can't say enough good things about the staff. The people who worked at the reception desk (Lucy, Stacey, and Paul) went out of their way to help us when our luggage didn't get to Ireland with us. Paul even gave me a jacket to wear! They were great. My husband and I along with or 16 year old daughter stayed here a night. I woud highly reccomend Pembroke Kilkenny it was just lovely, our room was huge with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was just fabulous and the staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended. The location couldn't have been better. We were in walking distance of everything. Free parking. The hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes walk to the castle and the main street. The room was very nice and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Only a minor point but the lifts were operated via the room key cards and rarely worked on first attempt. Parking lot was very cramped. Finding the hotel was a little difficult. Once there all was great. No complaints!. Limited on site parking, extra parking within walking distance, no number sign on the building. Nothing. Only downside is parking, very limited so arrive early!. The breakfast wasn't great they don't seem to make enough food for the buffet to cope with the rush so we skipped breakfast the 2nd day. If anything - the hotel rather lacked atmosphere and therefore we dined out. There was a crowd of noisy teenagers early hours of the morning outside the room by the lift but this has never been a problem before and it was St Patricks day but feel the staff should have been on top of this as we were not the only people disturbed we heard the next morning. The only tiny niggle we had was a cracked rubber seal in the shower which caused a bit of water to leak on the bathroom floor. The hotel has it's own parking lot, but it can be a challenge to find a space if you arrive late. I was in a room 208 opposite lift and this was not a problem during the day however as the lift did not automatically return to reception in the evening I could hear the tv in the lift in my bedroom. However as soon as I rang reception it was dealt with. Worth noting for future but was dealt with immediately by night reception. Nothing!. none. There is nothing that comes to mind. Thank you. I have to say i have no dislikes of kilkenny at all. N/a. No gym on site. liked everything!!. There wasn't anything to dislike. Could hear late night noisy singer from bar in hotel opposite from our room. bar itself. Problems with iron and ironing board. Nothing!.
