Great value and wonderful place to stay. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the whole facility was very clean and nice, perfect for a long stay with a large eating area, large kitchen and public lounge areas. I like that breakfast was included. Incredibly convenient location to the train station and city center, and the tour buses also pick you up in front of the building for the day trip tours. I didn't know you could get a private room at a hostel but it was perfec.
all reviews » They Kinlay was excellent! I've stayed at many hostels, and this was tops. It was clean, easy to move around in, centrally located to much of the sights of Galway, and easily put us in touch with a great free walking tour of Galway. Facilities were clean. Printing is free. Breakfast is decent - cereal, toast, or museli, with coffee and tea. Hot water just fine. Either bathroom connected to your room or large shared bathroom. Maria and Norbert are nice and helpful. The hostel is in a central location with easy access to seaside walks and is a short distance to pubs, nightlife, and shopping. Staff were polite and helpful, and the building is modern, in good order, and clean. Decor was tasteful, beds were comfy, and the kitchen setup was great for self cooking. Galway is a beautiful place to visit, and Kinlay hostel is a great place to stay. The staff is very friendly, the guys at the reception will always help you if you need. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, you can use the free wifi and spend great time in the living room. The location is amazing. The breakfast was good. Loved being more like it. The whole place. Excellent and responsive staff. Excellent facilities. For a hostel, there are travellers of all ages staying there. This place is the best hostel you could stay at. The other areas of this hostel are beautifully designed and very hip and modern! Love the mural and fish tanks!. The bathrooms weren't as clean as I would have preferred but they weren't awful. nothing!. Nothing. Nope. Though it was discounted, having to pay for parking was an expense we did expect. terrible roommate!!!. showers a bit old and not very clean when I got in. Bathrooms a bit dirty. Cant say I disliked anything and it far exceeded my expectations. Toilets are far away from the room. Had to be super quiet once we were back from the pub...would def go back though. There was a big drunk group in the hostel. there is no anything. no negatives. the early to rise people at 6-7 in the morning. breakfast should be improved. It was a bit too busy at times, especially at night. It got to be loud and you could hear some people drinking and having a good time late in to the night. Shared bathrooms where Ok, but not great. It's a big place, with it comes it's anonymousity. I didn,t like the way how the security left people go inside with botle of beer, jumping on the table and other things there was worse than zoo..
