The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of the city, just a short walk from the train and bus station and from the main shopping area. There are planty of pubs and clubs right on the doorstep, perfect for a weekend away! The rooms were spacious and clean, with more than enough room for three people in a triple room. all reviews »
despite refurbishment of hotel proceeding everything was maintained to a good standard. Room was excellent, modern. pity about the hallways leading to it. The food is excellent quality and value.Location. Very Central and recently renovated. Clean and comfortable rooms. Recently renovated, nice quiet room. Location Late breakfast Amenities. The continental breakfast was very good and the closeness of the bar made it very convenient when it was raining. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is close to all the shopping, restaurants and night life.Location, comfortable beds, good continental breakfast available. friendly staff. close to town centre. location and Proximity to city centre. The location. Nice spacious rooms, lovely power shower. Clean towels each day and location. Everything else was horrendous. The room was disgustingly dirty. To be honest. Very little. No car parking facility in the hotel, we had to park on the other side of the square. The shower was not very good, it kept going hot and cold. Our friends in different rooms had similar problems. There was no cooked breakfast available, only continental-cereal, fruit etc... access to rooms was confusing, along multiple long, dark, of an old appearance, hallways. Staff weren't very prepared when it came to large groups i.e stag/hen parties. The lack of parking was inconvenient. During the rush hour there is no access to a drop off point so you end up parking away from the hotel, making it difficult to transfer suitcases. The kettle in the room was too small for 3 people and there is a need for a light above the main mirror where the hair dryer is.The shower head could not be moved, annoying for the tall or short!. not quite finished re-furbishment and grouting stuck to bottom of the bath. No heating on at arrival and several problems with heating on and off during our stay in middle of winter. Initially fan heater blowing air down onto centre bed which was poor quality heating and unsatisfactory. The breakfast did not start until 7.30pm which was too late. The room was filthy- carpet had not been vacuumed, there were hairs, stains and paint marks in the bath, and the inside window sill was littered with cigarette ash. There was also a photo frame which was left standing on the radiator, i.e., it had not been hung up on the wall. I complained to the manager about the atrociously poor state of the room, especially considering the price (€150/night). We were using the hotel to hold a training seminar and when we arrived, we were told that no car park was available but there was a car park on the far side of Eyre Square that we could use but we would have to pay for. We told the hotel staff that we had a lot of equipment to bring in and at no pint did they offer to help us even though one of our trainers was pregnant.
