I liked the concierge, the man really new what info to give us and was very understandable. I also liked the restaruant and bar, the people working the nights that I dined and wined there were extremely friendly on never left me bored out of my mind. They were also very good looking people to look at and talk to. Staff helpful and good local information. Excellent hotel. We were given a room in the Executive floor which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, though I'm sure other rooms equally well furnished. The Neil Diamond Concert was also great!.
all reviews » The hotel staff were excellent, the breakfasts were excellent, wouldrecomend this hotel, only one thing against hotel that if you dont likewalking the city centre is 25 minutes away but bus stop and taxi rank isright outside and very reasonable. I liked the late night bar menu, we went to a concert and didn't have time to eat, so it was great when we got back to the hotel to find out we didn't have to go to our room for roomservice in order to get something to eat.Everything - would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Dublin. The room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent as was the service provided by the staff. The bar had a great atmosphere. I have already written to the hotel to compliment them on the service that was provided in all areas from cleanliness of room, food and staff. All round it was excellent and have no complaints.The staff were very courtious and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The bathroom door creaked constantly (I did a temp fix myself). The breakfast surroundings were beautiful but the breakfast went cold very fast. I believe that the cold breakfast plates were the main fault. the fact the on your website it says parking thenm to get there and b told is got to park on the road as the car park was nothing to do with hotel. Would also of been nice to have evening meal in restaurant and not sat in lobby on settee, not good for digeation. No toast or fried eggs @ breakfast which were advertised on menu. The hotel bar is pretty expensive but you can always choose to go elsewhere so it's not really a problem. It's a good 15 minute walk into the main part of the city but it's a lovely stroll through the park at St Stephens Green so as long as the weather is fine, it's very pleasant. On the site it said it was only 5 mins in to the city centre fron the hotel and i would say if you want to be in the city centre this hotel is'nt the one for you cause it took me and my partner about 30min walk to the city centre. So that was the only thing that was a bit of a disapointment.When we arrived they had us marked down at a different rate than yourselves but the staff were very good and sorted this out. Our only concern was that on arrival at the hotel we were given the impression that there may not of been a room available even though we had a copy of the booking comfirmation with us, the receptionist had to ring reservations and did not seem particularly welcoming at that time.

From 'Busaras' (Bus Station, 1.5 miles / 2.4 km): - Exit the station and turn left to face the Custom House. - Turn left and follow the road around to the right. - Continue over the bridge then turn left. - Take the first right and continue straight through the traffic lights onto Westland Row. - At the end of the street, turn left then right onto the north side of Merrion Square. - Turn left at the lights and continue onto Lower Mount Street. - Continue onto Northumberland Road and take the first right onto Haddington Road. - Continue onto Mespil Road with the canal on your right. - Take the last left before you reach the traffic lights, onto Sussex Road, and continue for 400 metres. The hotel is located on the left. From Connolly Railway Station (1.5 miles / 2.4 km) - Exit station and turn left along Amiens Street until you come to the traffic lights. - Continue over bridge and turn left. - Continue as above. From Dublin Airport: 'Aircoach', located just outside the Arrivals Hall, is a bus service that stops outside the hotel (at an additional cost - much cheaper than a taxi).
