We had a studio apartment and it worked out well. We were able to buy a few breakfast items, snacks, and beverages. Small kitchenette did not have a stove, but had a microwave and all the needed dishes and utensils. The room was cleaned every day and was spotless. The location was great for us because we were near the train station, as a matter of fact we walked from the train station to the hotel (about a 15 minute brisk walk). We really loved the little balcony for our evening glass of vino.
all reviews » Location was handy, being very near to the main train station with underground and tram and bus connections. However, it was a little too far to walk to the main attractions. The apartment was fantastic - very spacious and the beds were very comfortable - and the children loved the indoor swimming pool. I really like our stay in in Adina Apartment. The room is very cozy & nice. The safety and facilities were great. And its very accessible from the train station which is few meters away we,10 mins walk only, bus station and the city trip bus. So i didn't regret that i stayed in that hotel. The room was very spacious, it was clean and the decor was modern and stylish. It was also quiet with no disturbances. The pool/sauna area was a great place to relax. Stocked up with towels, clean changing rooms and we had the pool all to ourselves. The staff at the front desk were helpful. Great hotel! The concept of having appartments in a hotel is perfect. The rooms are fully equiped with every thing you need and more, the location is perfect and the spa is very much appreciated. I would advise to anyone who wants a cosy, design and budget friendly high quality hotel!!. Staying in an apartment was much more spacious than staying in many European hotel rooms. The apartment was modern and made a good use of space. Charges for the minibar and phone, domestic and international, were far more reasonable than at other hotels we stayed with in Germany. It is a basic necessity in this day and age and would have made things easier getting around Berlin. We had a few problems with the house-keeping: a stray dirty towel on our floor that must have fallen out of a cleaning cart, an extra open bottle of complementary body lotion left in our bathroom. The apartment looked clean, but several little things made us nervous about the cleanliness. The air conditioning was much weaker than we expected. Nothing really. The Wi-fi wasn't free and the breakfast (although excellent) was a touch pricey. A little bit small poolarea and not free wifi. An English speaking tv channel that wasn't a news channel. Only so much you can take about William and Kate's baby. Only channels available were movie ones you had to pay for and at 10 euro each that is a bit exorbitant. No ones fault, but Berlin is in the middle of major work on buildings and infrastructure. The building work starts at 7.00am and it's everywhere. Breakfast overpriced, but exquisite. There was construction and deliveries outside our window weekday mornings. We were always up and out early but were glad we did not want to sleep any longer as it was noisy. Maybe a higher floor would have been quieter. Breakfast not included and was a little pricey. The staff were also very busy, not as availble as other hotels we have stayed at during our trip. "Music" in restaurant. Internet access daily price very high so didnt use it. Lot of building work in the area around the main railway station. The charge for parking I feel was excess. We were only at the premises some nine hours but was charged the full day rate. The breakfast is a little expensive -especially when there is a cheaper option with room service - but food was great!. Nothing. There was nothing that we could find as a point we didn't like about this hotel. It's in East Berlin, which is badly torn up, But you can ignore the construction. Also, if you want to walk out the door to a wide choice of restaurants, this place is not for you-the area near the zoo is better for that, but took us only 14 minutes to get there via the local bus & S-Bahn. No major gripes. nothing negative to say. None. The area surrounding the hotel is a bit run-down at the moment because of nearby development. Not enough close by food and beverage places yet. The restaurant manager. We mistakenly had thought that they had taken our room number to charge the meal to our room. When we walked out I did not feel that he treated us respectfully. While the fault was ours, I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened. I would expect someone of his position to handle the situation more professionally. Also they could include plunger coffee in the rooms, that would have perfected the experience. We thought that a cheaper alterantive should be available for breakfast. 19euros for breakfast is quite a lot .When you are our age you do not eat as much as younger people might consume. Unable to change money at the hotel and no banks near by. The area around the hotel (between station and Bernauerstrasse, wher the best Wall memorial is) is being significantly regenerated -a bit messy at present, but will be very smart in the future. My only "complaint" is that I was unable to extend my stay to a 3rd night (my fault for waiting). I did not find anything to dislike - I met my family there. so never used the facilities, hence have no option as to what was on offer. The facilities was not used. To bad no bikes any more from november..., but in winter No fun anyway. No free wifi, not possible in this era!. Nothing. Payable Internet, restaurant menu is limited. Very difficult to operate the TV system. Staff made me feel a bit like 'a number'. Staff in the restaurant not yet 100% up to the task, though very friendly.
