I think I like everything about this place! It feels like you're at home in your own apartments with all the necessary equipment, household appliances, kitchen utensils, furniture, wardrobe, perfect wi fi connection etc. Also I like the design, place is pretty quiet and nice. First I thought that location is not really close to the city centre and took a tram, but after that I realised it's not so far, and if you're not very tired or smth it's pretty easy and fast to get there even on heels :) .
all reviews » This is a very nice accomodation, clean, with facilities for home cooking. The location is in the old part of the center, near the famous cathedral and the market and near the boats for trips on to the near islands. We had a great stay over there, also because the very exceptional weather, sunny and warm. At that moment the highest temperatures in Europe. I liked the cosy clean apartment liked the assistance I got from the manager as well as sato coordinator It is good value for money All utensils needed provided Small kit provided on arrival (teabag, coffee, milk, sugar, small shower gel, juice) to assist on arrival. The room size was ideal for the two of us and we were able to have our daughter visit for a meal. The Internet wifi was fast and easy to access with my iPad. The kitchen area was also very well equipped. Only a short walk to the local tram stops. Basically everything. The apartment was spacious and nicely furnished/equipped. All in all everything was clean and so on, but I've noticed that microvawe lid was a bit dirty as well as worktop. Also there were no soap, shampoo etc. as in typical hotels, only a tiny shampoo/douche gel thing that is enough for one or two uses only. I don't care about these things and like this place anyway, but mentioned it in case if other travellers do. the disadvantage is a bit the conection by public transport. With suitcases one has to walk uphill to reach the appartment. With the good weather during our stay this ain't no problem, yet in other circunstances it can be a drag. Lack of telephone limited English News tv stations took long to actually speak to a person on the customer service line. Noise from building / renovation work. The main entrance door to the A block and drying room door lock were difficult to open and are in need of lubrication. Bit rates are high in the city. Dust on the floor. No door staff.The bed was 2 small ones put together.Can be difficult when playing with your partner :). Lack of blackout curtains. Poor finishing of shelves and cupboards - the wardrobe shelves had collapsed and the TV table cupboard had one door hanging off. We travelled with small kid, and need cleaning every day. Due to weekly cleaning we miss the mop and we had to purchase it. None. 1. internet does not work good, linking breackes every minute 2/ very very cold in the flat, outside temperature was (-8), batteries - maximum +20, inside the room temperarure was 15-16 degrees, wind flowing from the windoes and from the wall This was a-19 rooms. Everything else was wonderfull. Nothing in particular. A bit expensive, but Helsinki is an expensive city, so inside the environment it is not so expensive. WiFi connection was frequently interrupted. Nothing. No soap in bathroom, no sugar, salt, tea etc. minor point: better is each unit had its own vacuum cleaner. Contacting the hotel is very difficult, particularly to confirm baby cot. Bathroom was smaller than we expected and we could not get the dishwasher to work. Nothing. It was a bit cold at the room. There is no balcon. A couple of things I think were missing in the kitchen, for example bowls for breakfast cereal and some sort of cloth for drying dishes. Also (just for your information) the drying rack is not directly positioned over the sink in the kitchen, so water drips from the plates on to the kitchen surface. There could also be some sort of draw space for clothes - there are lots of cupboards and hanging space, but no draws!. Absense of soap on arrival. Have to go and buy. My room was on the first floor near the elevator so it was quite noisy. Garbage room was a bit hard to find. Outside lights very bright. the sauna couldnt be used as a couple. From the very beginning the lift door was not working ..had to curry wheelchair and big suitcases by stairs...complained ...nothihing has been done ..terrible expiriance. Noise from the hall was very unpleasant. outside of he room is bit dirty. smell of new painting has just really disturb me. no telephone at room that functioning. Missing basic kitchen utensils. the door of elevator should be close automatically. Nothing to dislike.
