The hotel position is great just few blocks away from central station. Staff was kind and room clean, comfortable and soundproof, though the hotel is located directly on the street and just above the pub. After check out they were also so kink to keep our (cabin size) luggage for the morning. Excellent value for money right in the heart of Helsinki. Free wifi connection. It was easy to find, although the signs were subtle. Comfortable beds, quiet even though with the window open down to the street. Vending machine had free or almost free bottle water. Little store nearby with hot food even at night made up for no room service. Big bathroom and shower.
all reviews » This hotel was so central and modern - I would highly recommend it as was extremely clean, staff were very very helpful and the location was a few minutes walk to the central train station which also happens to be where the airport bus drops you. Friendly staff, I had to check out early in the morning, guy on the reception brought me take away breakfast, though I didn't ask. The window opened on the back side near the waste bins (but at least the room had a window, not like many other hotels in Stockholm :)) and the water from the shower easily spread all over the bathroom. But if you come to enjoy Helsinki for a couple of days you don't have the time to let this things ruin your stay. The breakfast items were cold, but on the upside there was a good variety. I didn't find how to operate with air condition (not sure it exists) and had no chance to open a window for ventilation as was very noisy. 2. Bathroom: lake in the middle of floor after taking shower; toilet seat was deformed, no place for clothes. 3. TV channels were not sorted out. Poor breakfast. The room is small, with furniture from different sets. A cabinet door was faulty, but I didn't need to use it. For one or two nights - ok. Hotel has only one floor (1st) facing the main road so can be noisy. I choose the room facing the back, quiet but has no window so stuffy. It seems that they offered me their worst room. - it did not had a cubboard ! - the window opened on the back side, just in front of the hotel big dustbins - the TV was not working (no channels) - bathroom "douche" was not separated from the rest of the bathroom, so water would spread all over the bathroom. We didn't know that there are no windows in the room, and it was not in the room description. The solution to substitute them was very clever, but yet we used to windows in hotel rooms. No lift. 1) Noisy ( transort in the busy street, even in night time + guests)! 2) bathroom floor- need to be specially levelled : water from shower is flooding !. Dirty rooms. The wifi was not working in the bedroom The bedroom had no window, no natural light, very hot and stuffy. Dodgy hotel located on noisy street. Breakfast was poor. TV didn't work. Fridge empty. Small bathroom with tiny place to shower. Spent water ran all over the rest of the bathroom. No carpets in room. It was noisy, it is not possible to sleep.
