comfort and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times; the location is perfect - right next to the train station and Tivoli Park and close to the main shopping street; our room was spacious and spotlessly clean; the whole place is charming and full of character.Central location - close to the train station. They advised that they had given me a free upgrade, but apparently it turned out they had confused my booking, which they thought was for a single rather than a double. A small nag, however the ironboard looked if it had been retrived out of a bin and I had a number of irons before one worked. room was really quite tiny in the end, and on first night, only set up for single occupancy but staff sorted it out quickly the next day and apologised. concierge was not that helpful. Room maids should pay more attention to visible details like lamps above mirror etc. room climatisation too noisy and no possibility found to stop it. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. I tryed to make a phone call to my daughter in Switzerland, but she did not answer, she was not at home. For just dailing her number without getting her to the phone the hotel charged me DKK 35.--!! Unbelievabel. Normal TV-programs and Radio-programs are not free of charge - Why not?. No air conditioning, glad it wasn't hotter, but was still not ascomfortable as we would have liked. Rooms nice, reception and bar area very dark and old fasioned. The hotel boasts concerning the view from its windows. To look out at a ventilation shaft does not live up to this... Shame that inexpensive touches to smarten/modernise rooms to complementhotel haven't been done. Having a selection of teas/coffees in the roomis nice. The door to our shabby fridge was left open before our arrivaland had leaked (drinks not cold). Bar was understaffed on Frid (the girlserving did very well to cope with her customers), we left withouthaving been served a drink.We asked for a roon with views by booking, but we only got a smokers room with views to train station. My room was far too small. cost of room; having to pay extra for ordinary TV services; no coffee-making facilities. Although the room is nice, the bathroom is very old. Terrible forniture,paint coming off, really needed to be renewed. My room's windows were tothe inside of the hotel. No problem with that, but there were piles ofbird poo on some sort of safety stairs. Not a nice view. Someone shouldget that clean. Expensive breakfast, not worth the money. No wireless,although it was on the descriptions.it was next to the train station. the noise from the trains made the rooms extremely loud at night and my 3 year old son woke up several times at night. also, the bed sheets did not appear to be clean. cleaning of the room was not done (because we left the room after 12:00 ???). Called for room service and was pretty astonished to see the old dirty sheets on the bed.Bad bath-shower, very difficult to adjust suitable temperature. Heavy leakage from the shower cabin to the bathroom floor, real flooding. attitude of the reception staff. poor maintenance of the rooms.Staff insolence. No lift access to floor. Train noise. Price of breakfast. Different explanations following complaint.
