Everything really. The friendliness of the staff at the reception was the best point. Being able to borrow a hairdryer the next. The comfort where everything is walking distance...........most of allthe breakfast buffet was superb!. The room was comfortable, clean and central it also lacked the seedy feel that a lot of cheap hotels have. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful.

Road work infront of the hotel which meant we had to walk all the way around the building from the trainstation to get to the entrance.The trains were pretty noisy. breakfast was skimpy compared to others (The Mayfair, Malmo); very loud location. Noise from the street.it was right next to the train station so the building shock and we were kept away all night by the noise. There was construction in progress outside the hotel, so it was a little bit hard to access the hotel due to lorries and working equipment.the bed. Being a UK resident, I would have liked a choice of hot food at breakfast. However, the Continental breakfast choices were good.The shower wasn´t very good: watwer was too cold and the intensity was too low -do you understand, what I mean. The location was well known for us so we had our own earplugs with. I suggest that the hotelstaff will place a couple of earplugs in every room. The check-in was very slow as the clerk did not think to have those of us filling in our information was she was dealing with a previous customer who was taking a long time due to difficulty with her credit card. I would like to have a mini-bar. It is noisy at the front of the hotel due to the railway station below. the noise! could not get to sleep or stay asleep due to the level of noise on the side that we were located - somesort of warning about what side a guest faces would be amazingly helpful!. the staff at the reception do not volunteer information about the city and what a tourist can do. Do not provide free hot and cold water.noise from the trains nearby. Sounds of the street very noticeble. It felt a little frayed at the edges and was not as clean as I would like. The bed was kind of hard to get in and out of, too, as it was stuck into an alcove. But it is convenient and the staff was friendly. Main entrance to the reception area needs renovation and improvement. It was loud and, for what it offers, overpriced. Poor breakfast. My single room was not superior, still it was sold as one. I complained and got a double room instead(didnt ask for double room) but for me who travel a lot it was not superior and not cosy.There was no hairdryer or any tea drink making facilities in room at all. There was not even a bottle of water in the room. The room was very cold and noisy, it felt like the window was open butit wasn'T.An ugly dirty blanket on the bed in the room. Very hard traffic and too much noice. Too high noise level. Poor security, overheated. too noisy. You should have better closing windows in order to keep out the noise from street and railway.

Hotel information details

On 1 February 2007, DGI-Byen took over the lease of the Hotel Astoria. The hotel is being renovated and will open for guests in June 2007.

The Danish design company which has, amongst other things, supplied furniture to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, will be responsible for the designer furniture in all the of the hotel’s rooms, from the foyer to the individual hotel rooms.

As a guest, you will receive a number of benefits, such as free entry to the nearby swim centre and entry to the Spa centre for only DKK 100 (normal entry fee is DKK 245).

Please note that an extra fee will be charged for payments with foreign credit cards. An authorization will be made on your credit card upon arrival. This is not a final payment, and therefore you need to settle your bill before departure.
