What people say
The hotel delivered everything it promised. Modern, clean rooms for a
decent price, right at Place Rogier. The rooms weren't huge, but
were sufficient, and there was a nice deep tub, which was great as we
were travelling with two small kids. The location was good, and the
shared lobby space with the two adjacent hotels (Hotel Progress and
Hotel des Colonies) meant that we had access to the nice hotel bar of
the slightly more upmarket hotels, which was convenient for one last
drink with friends . all reviews »
I liked the quietness, overall noise isolation is fairly good (city center outside is noisy; the elevator is almost unhearable, and so was the fridge or noises of other guests)
the hotel reminds "the old good times", good for those who prefer "a soul" and cosy room instead of room in sterile hotel chains
though the room was very small, it in fact contained everything a traveller needs (a table, a warddrobe, a quiet fridge, etc.)
very helpful and friendly frontdesk
strong wifi.
Although room space is not so big, I am really satisfied with Siru, especially with such good price at the convinent location. No things need to be really complained.I don't have any problem at its free wifi. The speed is fast enough & quite acceptable to me.(BTW: I did not have Siru breakfast since the meetings I attended did provide the simple breakfast. So,I did not have chance to go into Siru's restaurant to see what they offer for breakfast. ).
Great staff, I want to make special mention of the two excellent receptionists, Fidgi and Goscia, who were incredibly helpful to me. Thank you, ladies!
Excellent location - I walked from the Gare Nord station to the hotel in about 6 minutes (so handy!). The hotel is also superbly placed for shopping in the Rue Neuve.
Free wifi and its a really strong signal.
The staff was really friendly. It was close to several small restaurants and a carrefour, where you could buy your breakfast. Games (pool and table football) are available at the foyer without extra cost. Everything was within walking distance. Wi-fi worked perfectly, even tough we were on the 7th floor.
Location of hotel is good for shopping (shopping street 200m away) as
well as sightseeing. Metro stop next to hotel, Nord station to get to
Brussels National 5min walk away. Breakfast very simple for 111
EUR/night, but that is Brussels...
This Hotel is in a great location, clean and tidy. I booked this for a
stag party of 7 and it was ideal. We were only there for 12 hours in 3
days, but we managed to get some decent sleep whilst we were there. The
showers are excellent!.
Nice hotel, great location, walking distance to north station and Rogier stop. Also 15 min walk to Grand place. It's right next to the shopping street too. Friendly staff, nice bathroom, nice decor and clean.
i really appreciated the smiles of the stuff and their helpfullness.
well i only come home late at nights and only needed a bed to sleep which i did had and it was wonderful.
million thanks again.
The good location, half an hour walk from the historic city centre. Plenty of restaurants and a shopping centre in the vicinity. Very large and comfortable room. Clean. Polite and helpful staff.
The hotel is very conveniently located: near the Gare du Nord, the old
town 15 minutes walk in a straight line the street. The room is small
but comfortable, has everything you need.
It was OK. The Wi-Fi was working good. Clean enough. And we weren't so disappointed of Brusselsand how dirty it is that the hhotel was just perfect on the whole background.
Access to Covent Garden area for ec work; Access to Gare du Nord;
Bathroom best of the Brussels budget hotels in which I have stayed;
Access to wi-fi/PC in adjoining hotel.
excellent location near city 2 mall (2 min walk) and close to metro station and famous rue neuve, grand place. excellent friendly staff, very clean and comfortable.
I knew the Hotel since when it was a nice "Art Hotel": it's very well located, with a nice price, very agreeable staff, and only for sleeping is very convenient.
I liked staying at the hotel, there was a cosy and confortable atmosphere! The staff was friendly and polite. I would strongly recommend the hotel in matter!.
Friendliness of the staff and the general cleanliness of the hotel especially the rooms. Buffet breakfast is a good pick me up offering an array of food.
The friendliness of the staff but also their willingness to assist. The hotel is quite safe and is not noisy. Rooms are clean especially the bathroom.
Location is very good. Hotel in near the train station - only 10 min by walking.
If go straight you can see centre of town.
Staff is very friendly.
It is very nice hotel, with very good transport connections, close to everything, and hotel with an excellent bed where you can really sleep.
The cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness and helpfulness of the
staff, the location fairly central and close to the Metro station.
My room was biegger than others, just 10 euros room rated makes big difference. Polish girl Gosia in reception very nice and helpfull.
I liked the room, how clean the room is,it was cosy and quite.
Basically I am satiesfied with everything. I have no complaints.
If you still have time to go to Brussels, I will not look for another hotel, be sure to stop at the Hotel Siru.
Very nice hotel, ideal location for heart of the city. Facilities OK. Staff very friendly.
The hotel siru was good taking into consideration the low price for
hotel in Brussels.
Clean room and friendly, helpful staff. Free wi-fi and good location for EU offices.

Service.
Location of the hotel was good.
The wifi reception didn't work in our room, but was fine in the
lobby. I wish we could have opened the window all the way to air out the
room, but I'm sure it's a safety regulation that it can only
open a little bit.
the beds are extremely narrow (60 cm?)
the bathroom was not clean and the house keeping was performing badly in general (why the hell they "tidy up" the bed, but "scatter" guest's pyjamas, though the pyjamas was previously tidied?!)
the outlook from 8th floor was
poor
there were only 3 hangers for 2 persons (but the frontdesk was helpful in letting deliver few more).
The only thing could be bothering for some people who like completely silence when they are sleeping is the slight noise resulted from the mini refrigerator. I think it is because of the motor or compressor.
But the slight noise was not so big problem for me to fall asleep. Or, You can unplug the refrigerator if you do not need to use it.
The power plug in the bathroom didn't work, nor did the hair-dryer. The plug for the fridge didn't seem to fit into the electrical socket either. However, these were minor issues overall.
It was a bit too expensive for the size of the room.
Sound isolation very poor, could hear everything going on the street.
Bathroom in my room (110) felt very cool due to openings in window
(obviously for ventilation).
This hotel is 200 yards from the "Sheraton" which two of our
group stayed it. It cost them 20 euro a night more, but for that they
both got double beds and a huge room!!!.
Walls are thin, so you will hear noise from other guests. The in-room safe is tiny, laptops cannot fit. Bed pillows are a little uncomfortable. However, I would stay here again as the good points of the hotel outweigh the bad points.
Nothing.
Expensive breakfast.
No window view from some bedrooms on left side of corridor; Quite a long
walk to the more interesting pats of the city (but more important for me
to have easy access to office for long hours there).
Parking nearby is difficult, or expensive (In the Manhattan Centre Parking).
There was nothing to dislike but a suggestion for the future could be teamaking and/or coffee making facilities in the room for those that wish to have a hot drink in the evening rather than having to go out.
At least a blanked could have been provided as Brussles was very cold the last time I visited. Also I think larger pillows should be provided as the small ones that are in the room are quite uncomfortable.
Numbers are stylish a little bit, but not comfortable. Furnitures are not new.
For example we had not good bathroom and I fallen down ((.
Breakfast starts at 7, and no possibility of breakfast box early in the morning. Internet connection is very poor on sixth and seventh floor.
The lift: small for 3 persons, often busy, I reached the 7th levels by
stairs with my suitcases.
They have problem with key cards. They usually do not work. Please remember that even in elevators you have to put them in to get up or down.
I booked a ticket online and The system of Hotel siru did not show it anything of booking,so that was a bit annoying, but the receptionist fixed it in 5 minutes.
Apart from that, everything was good.
But I have one big problem the I paid in advance my hotel charges on 26-
th of June (in my bank account it appears as payment to hotel des
colonies), but still the money (app. 107 eur) is blocked on my amex, the
amount is blocked by hotel des colonies.
Breakfast was too expensive and should be included in the price of the room. My room had an elderly, broken fridge which almost filled the wardrobe and the only chair was a small, cheap plastic one which was uncomfortable and prevened me doing any work. No coffee facilities, ice machine or cold water machine which should be available, at least centrally at this price.
Double bed was 2 singles out together that moved apart really easy.
Elevators.
Unlike the "insightful reviewer",
their WIFI was NOT great for me: their system DOES NOT SUPPORT the SSH protocol
required by all of my professional connections!! This is the first time I've experienced this in the last decade! The price was VERY high for the quality offered.
Check-in is at 15,00.
nothing.
A bit nit-picky, but the front door was awkward to find. The revolving door into Siru is closed and you have to enter through an adjacent hotel that shares a reception desk.
Rooms are small. So not advice for indoor activities.
booked a double comfort room but the mattress was actually two singles pushed together with a sheet on top. Not so bad but paid a little extra to get a more comfortable bed.. This was disappointing. Sometimes you would have to readjust etc to get comfortable.
Perhaps there could be coffee and tea making facilities in the room as there was no dining area unless you paid.
a bit beds a bit hard and when asked for queen size, they were 2 matraces together, window in some room hard to open, no aircon (I was over there during heatwave in summer 2012).
Breakfast could be included in the price and not with additional fee.
One night the elevator was out of service and the key did not open the
door of stairs.
Staff is ok but not that helpful compared to others we met during the same trip.
Location is bit far away from downtowns.
Not so good sound proofing.
None.
