I was pleasantly surprised to find during a last minute booking that the hotel was offering a deal on a twin room with 2 double beds - this was impossible to find in other hotels of the same calibre in north sydney, and anywhere within the same price bracket. The late checkout of 12 noon was also fantastic, again I haven't seen this in many other hotels and I was impressed at their flexibility and accommodating manner, both online and in person. Fabulous!!!.
all reviews » My room was spacious, modern, with all the necessary facilities. A bonus was the balcony with an outdoor setting. The staff were friendly and helpful. I used a wheelchair at times and many of the staff asked if I needed assistance which I found very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend to others. Reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I really appreciated it when a staff member helped me get to a venue by printing out a public transport trip plan for me particularly when I was running late to meet friends. Above and beyond what I expected and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst I only stayed for one evening the accommodation was clean, friendly and inviting and I would most definitely stay again, especially at the special rates that I received. Breakfast was lovely. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy all the facilities that it offered. The room looked exactly like the pictures on the website. It was well appointed, a good size, comfortable and pleasent and overall better than we had expected. The service was good and the restaurant next door (a rib and steak restaurant) was very good. staff were magnificent-welcoming, helpful and exceptionally friendly. Rooms were well appointed and access to northern beaches, city locations and entertainment events as well as local shopping and services were a bonus. Use hotel for sleep and food as well as convenience to work place. A little noisy on one occasion only but generally very quiet. Upper floors quieter than lower floors. Spacious room very clean, lovely staff especially the Greek chef at breakfast, poached eggs cooked to perfection and he was very friendly and helpful. It was close to the railway station which made it easy and affordable to get around. The restaurant next door has the best ribs I have ever tasted!!. Staff were extremely welcoming. It was very accessible. Glass of wine at check in was so lovely. Just an all round great experience. Staff were instantly attentive, room was very comfortable, most things were available at hand or close, convenient for our travels. as a result of a phone call yesterday, my opinion of both the ryde marriott and letsbookhotel.com has been elevated even further. The ease of booking, parking, access to our family function and most of all comfort. We will book again. They have replied and conform with the changes of the booking.. Room and staff and facilities very good. Upon arrival the entrance/parking was a little confusing to navigate - and the boom gate was a little deterring with no other available parking outside. Once checked in it was fine, just a little off putting for country folk!. Just a personal thing but the bed was too firm for me. My hips did ache a little. The only other negative, if you could call it that, was the lack of choice on the late night room service menu. We attended a concert and didn't have time before, for dinner. There was a choice of fries, potato wedges, pumpkin soup and plain pizza. I'm a diabetic so they weren't good choices for me. The location because it is not where we would normally choose to stay in Sydney, although we chose it because we had to be in Wahroonga the next morning. The hotel is located in a business area so would be ideal for anyone working in or around North Ryde. The only issue we had is the very poor signage for actually finding the hotel. So far, nothing to dislike!. Access a little tricky the first time I stayed but not a problem any more for this country boy!. Nothing. Breakfast was overpriced and they started packing up the food quite early. We were told breakfast went until 9.30 but by 9.00 a.m. there was nothing left. This was after they refilled the bacon and hash browns only 5 mins earlier which was such a waste. Hard to initially locate as set some distance off the road address and could not find signage. nothing. signage problem, you can't see the building from the main road! It was hard to see were you enter the property. The bath shower, not fan. A little bit hard to find the entrance needs better signage for first timers. Unfortunately the bathroom smelled like vomit, they did try cleaning it again after our first night, which wasn't that successful, they did agree to reduce our charges slightly which was acceptable. Nothing. Ordered room service late in the evening and it was forgotten until we ordered again. (However we did not have to pay for it as compensation). Breakfast tables were not being cleared quickly to allow for new diners. The food was being put away at 10.15am which seemed a bit early for a Sunday morning. Lack of availablity Unable to select/secure business rate upon booking or check-in (as a returning customer). I requested 2 beds as I was sharing with my teenage son. When we arrived, there was only one king bed in the room. I was advised that there were no other rooms available with separate beds after I arrived. Had I been advised of this beforehand, I would have booked elsewhere. However, the staff were very obliging and organised a foldaway bed for my son to sleep on. Staff kept screwing around the payment and price. Sign too small, couldnt find the hotel. letsbookhotel.com did not pass on my request for twin share. I was travelling with my daughter and the hotel was fully booked and could not offer me another room or a roller-bed. For one night, we worked it out. Dirty carpet in bathroom. nothing. bedding. Trying to find the hotel at night was extremely difficult, even though we had a GPS. The phone numbers that we had from our booking on letsbookhotel.com were actually the 'manager's' private numbers and both went to voicemail so we couldn't contact anyone for directions. We had to stop and ask for help at a nearby motel and my husband suggested we just book in there however I didn't want to lose money. You need better signage at night on both roads. I phoned on th eprevios Thursday to ask if breakfast was included, asw it was the same rate at my last visit in April, and that included breakfast. I was informed it was included on the phone. When I arrived I was told it was not but staff would give one complimentary breakfast. Small room, far from the city.
