The room was really nice; good size, comfy beds, great bathroom. Looked just like the photos (for once!). Greeted by lovely staff who were always friendly. Walked to and from station everyday which was very manageable so great location, used the gym which was basic but met all the needs of a holiday work out. Loved the decoration as it was very clean and modern, housekeeping provided great service with flexible hours if we put the do not disturb sign up. Also fab how there is an empty fridge, m.
all reviews » We absolutely loved our recent stay in Royal Pacific Hotel in Lane Cove. Such wonderful value for our family.The housekeeping staff did a fabulous job and even tucked my son's duck into his bed when they remade it. Reception staff also were supremely knowledgable and helpful. Highly recommended. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The hotel was spotless, modern& the room was very comfortable. There were no "frills" but we were very happy with everything. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice hotel without spending a fortune. Convenient location; near to family we were visiting. Good access to city centre by car; one traffic light between hotel and city. Good bus service to Chatswood outside hotel, or within 5 minutes walk for city by Pacific Highway or expressway. We liked this hotel for the very pleasant and helpful staff. Also it was situated close to our immediate family and convenient for train and buses. The hotel was spotless-it certainly gets a full rating from my wife and I. The staff were very helpful, spoke good English and the evening meal we had was delicious. Rooms were very clean and was well appointed. Our visit was great in every respect. Windows opening for fresh air appreciated and the compulsory pastries were a nice touch too. The only downside was that the hotel was right next to a busy road that was difficult to cross - wasn't too much of a problem though and can't really be helped!. Inevitable traffic noise; it fronts on to the the Pacific Highway although all rooms are on the opposite side of the building. Inability to turn right into car park from Pacific Highway requires awkward detour for access. The pillows on our bed were very hard and uncomfortable. We had adjoining rooms but were unable to leave the doors open for easy access. No 24 hour cafe. Nothing very enjoyable. No problems. The pillows were too big and I ended up with stiff neck. Getting into the hotel from traffic on the road was a little hairy as cars did not slow down in the peak times. Breakfast maybe more choice... Could have charged more for hot bacon and egg style. Our only complaint is that we requested a double room but got a twin but to be fair we did not complain at the time. N/A. Accesss from north was a little inconvenient. The price was much higher than previous stay and as a result will think twice about staying here again. Very poor television reception. Pity the restaurant is not open every night; access from north requires "creative navigation" (but very easy when you know how - don't believe GPS every time). Just a suggestion that as well as highlighting Artarmon Station, that bus NUMBERS be included with departure point in city also. not a lot not to like very good. None. Lack of restaurant (comprehensive) but there were some in the area which were good. basic facilities, adequate but not spectacular. Nothing. Nothing. some how inconvenient location. Nothing. The fact we had nothing to hang wet clothing on that can't be done in the dryer. Noisy air con. Grumpy manager has personality bypass, and other staff very ordinary. No room service, no restaurant on weekend, very basic breakfast offering, no cooked food. The shower can do with new grout. The breakfast buffet was lacking in everything for the price, should have been much more variety. Pillows like cotton wool. Overpriced restaurant food, needs digital tv in the rooms. Our room was not serviced until after 3.00pm Meal served in dining room sent back after having waited far too long to receive it, Chef agreed not to charge for it but did not offer to replace or substitute. Television did not pick up frre to air digital channels- i.e. kids channels (ABC3) Ironing board cover was disgusting. Location on a busy road which is difficult to cross by car or on foot. Rooms have only fridge and microwave and are not like apartment rooms. air conditioning very noisy. Pricing is going up all the time. Nothing.
