This place blew our mind and ruined us for other resorts. Amazingly beautiful and peaceful and at a decent price. We had a deluxe room on the water with an astonishing view. The room, the bathroom, well just about everything was of the highest standard. Breakfast was included and was good. Because it's quite out of the way (Hué is at half an hour ride away) - you'll probably dine or have lunch at their restaurant, which has excellent food.

This is an excellent hotel situated in the very interesting city of Hue. The staff are superb, my room was very comfortable, breakfast was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending it for any purpose and look forward to a return visit. -

We spent 4 nights at the Orchid Hotel in Hue. From the time we made our reservation, arranged for airport pick-up and throughout our stay the staff was very responsive and extremely helpful. The best hotel I stayed at in Vietnam. Could not be better located, right at the river and bridge. Perfect comfort and ambience, French colonial style from 1901. Phantastic breakfast. Should also have had the Vietnamese diner there for VND 200.000. I also appreciated the pool very much. Excellent value for the money. -

From the time we booked, there was good communication with the hotel, who arranged pick up from the station, after we arrived on the overnight train from Hanoi. Great welcome by the staff, who certainly maintain the Friendly Hotel reputation. The room was ready early, which was really appreciated first thing in the morning. Fabulous hotel with everything we could ask for, spacious and well- appointed rooms....great location within easy five minutes walk to the busy restaurant streets of new Hue, and still close enough to walk to the Perfume River (10-15min).
Rooftop pool was excellent as was the restaurant for breakfast (both with fabulous city/river views)-selection on offer to suit most tastes. Friendly staff all round especially in the restaurant.
