  The Romana is a beautiful resort. Being 2-3 km from the main strip it is quiet and peaceful. The pool area and gardens are spectacular. The rooms were excellent and had amazing views from the balconies. The breakfast was close to the best that we have had in 3 visits to Vietnam.   When we checked in, we were informed that 2-bed room which we booked have been sold out. hotel would upgrade a king bed room for us but rejused to add a bed. the problem was fixed finally after further negotiation. but i think hotel could do it better to fix this kind of problem in the first time with initiative - Hotel was clean and nice.   Friendly staff and fantastic location. Tom at reception and Diang (sp?) at the booking office were extremely helpful as were the other staff I met. Had a bit of a run in with a security guard there but that was completely my and another guest's folly. Rooms were immaculate. Had my own balcony. - Excellent value for money.   Love the layout of the resort. We book a family suite and very happy with the room. Love the pool where we mostly swim, since it was high season for jellyfish! Love the massage by the beach by therapist Trinh Phan, be sure to ask for her! I have gotten massages in some hotel in Saigon, and was not as good! Fresh anchovies filets were bl - The staff is always friendly and willing to help. We also loved the peacefulness of the hotel area and the cleanliness of the hotel area. The hotel is located on the beach, so you can relax on the beach, or take a dip in the pool. We chose the latter and spent most of our days at Pandanus in the pool.

But have in mind that if you take one of cheaper rooms you will get a room on the other side of the road.
