The pool was what drew me to this hotel. It was gorgeous although strong chlorine taste. The room was adequate and the bathroom was generous with a bath and separate shower. Lovely balcony overlooking the street which we like, so as to feel like we were actually in Vietnam, otherwise the hotel could have been anywhere! Breakfast was good, freshly made eggs as you please tops the list. Views were lovely from the 5th floor.

The owners/family were lovely. They cooked a big meal for all of the guests on Sunday 20 Oct 2013 which was delicious. It happened to be my birthday and they decorated our room and bought me a birthday cake which was so sweet. Everyone was really friendly and helpful.

The staff is very friendly and they are helpful. We could leave our luggage and take a shower after leaving the room.
The bicycles they offer are convenient to go around. The breakfast is very good and includes an English type of breakfast plus excellent fruit and tea or coffee. The air conditioning is great and we appreciated it. We didn't use the swimming pool because we stayed only a couple of days and preferred the beach but seemed ok.

We stayed at Ancient River House for our honeymoon and loved it. It was so peaceful and quiet and we loved the location on the river and a bit out of the main busy town. The shuttle services where perfect for getting in and out of ancient town and we used the provided bicycles to go to the beach. A great holiday that I would recommend to anyone -

The staff were extremely friendly and could not have done more to make our stay memorable. They organised flowers for our silver wedding anniversary then, off their own bat, decorated the room beautifully while we were out. The hotel is in an excellent location - easy walking distance from the centre of Hoi An but far enough away to be quiet. Relaxing by the pool overlooking the paddy fields with a beer - heaven!
