Vinh Hung Riverside Resort is a charming small resort in the center of Hoi An old town. The location is perfect for those people who would not necessarily choose a location with beach and sea (however Vinh Hung has a beautiful river beach) and prefer have an accommodation close by the cosy ancient town of Hoi An. Other resorts have perfect beach and sea locations but are fare away from the center. We felt perfect having a green resort with swimming pools and river beach and at the same time bei.
all reviews » We loved everything about the resort the location the staff were amazing the rooms were spacious & they are updating some of the rooms. Close enough to the town without being right in the middle of the hussel. As other reviewers have said the afternoon local market on the lawn is a great hour you can try different local dishes & see lantern making demonstration while you have a guitarist playing in the background. The free wi-fi is excellent did not have any problems at all.The breakfas. There is a great neighborhood and nice to be away from the really touristy areas. Our stay was fabulous. It was like an idyllic hideaway overlooking beautiful garden with colorful lanterns. We have been a long time in Hoi An, so we have stayed in many hotels. This Resort is in fact one of the most convenient we have ever stayed at. The room is very large, though a bit dark, but that's because it is always cool even without air conditioning. Wonderful breakfast, a variety of selected fruits and . This was our second visit to this hotel and it lived up to our expectations. It is very restful, welcoming and homely. The cooking course was excellent. The other trips offered by the hotel were good value for money. The availability of bikes , two pools, snooker and wi fi made it suitable for teenagers. Hoi An is safe enough for them to wander around on their own. The country market experience at the hotel was delightful. We were invited to dinner by the management since we stayed for several. The Resort was a haven of tranquility, a sanctuary away from the noise and madness of the Tet celebrations in Hoi An ancient city. Unfortunately they let the scooters in 24/7 during this time and in our opinion ruined those days. We celebrated with the locals, which was wonderful, but even they complained about the scooters at this special time of year for them. The staff were extremely friendly, nothing was a problem. The Resort is well laid out, pools great after hot days of sightseeing etc. . The place is kept very clean, room are well maintain swimming pool is well accepted very friendly staff which are the plus point for your hotel. The afternoon tea are very pleasant for all new comers to Hoi An but should change slightly everyday as there are a lot of guest who stay longer than a day so they should sample more of Hoi An specialities that will go well with the publicity your hotel will get free advertisement for you and Hoi An. We chose this hotel as it seemed to be a little bit away from the centre of town. It only took less than 5 mins to walk to the old town. The rooms were large though a bit dark. Great friendly relaxed attitude and feeling through the hotel. Good choices for breakfast. Terrific idea for guests to try traditional Vietnamese on the green lawn area between 4-5pm (if it doesn't rain) and entertainment. Would recommend this hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect. Resort is only a short walk into town which was very handy. Beautiful surroundings by the river with well kept gardens. Breakfast buffet was really good. Can relax along the river while eating. Rooms were a really good size and very clean. We would definitely stay here again. - Staff very friendly and helpfull - The ressort is more beautiful than the pics on Internet ! it was a good surprise ! - Equipement of the room with WIFI and TV were OK ! - Close to the city center and night market (3 minutes walks) and it s very pleasant to use the free boat from the ressort to the pier of Hoi An. The location was great. Short walk from the main town. The resort itself is small has a great pool with pool bar and is near the river side. The room was great and really spacious but basic. Great value for money. Make sure you rent bikes from just outside the resort and ride over to the beach - great fun!. Everything was fantastic, a tropical paradise. The location is very convenient if one wants to stay in and enjoy the beautiful historic Hoi An, and at the same time be close to the beach (4 km away, half hour by bike or $4 by taxi). The resort organises tours to various destinations in the area. The staff were exceptional - helpful, friendly and cheerful. Large room. Great pools with the most comfortable loungers I've come across. Loved the free local food tastings on fine afternoons - great chance to ask about how the food was made as well as eat it. Good breakfast buffet. Great location, nice room, lovely view (shame about the rain!). We booked a cookery class which was great value for money - there were just the 2 of us. We were taken to the market to buy some ingredients and then had lots of fun making the dishes and then eating them for lunch. Very helpful and friendly staff. This is a very nice resort style hotel, sits right on the river and only a few minutes walk to the main shopping precinct, great pool with swim up bar plus a garden pool, free nightly tasting of viet food, and the staff where very friendly and helpful. Great location, a quick walk across the bridge to the old town. The market they put on in the afternoon was wonderful, delicious food and a lovely treat each day. The rooms were clean and well sized. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and room was large. River owe room was nice with lounges out front. Swimming pool was good and the food market each evening was excellent to taste foods and mingle with other guests. Would recommend this hotel. Staff were very pleasant and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Great breakfasts, and loved the 4-5pm appetizers on the lawn, with guitarist. Our stay at the Vinh Hung resort was excellent, the staff were just brilliant right from the maids to the management, made our stay amazing, they even gave us all a present each when we left, it was a shame we had to leave. There is a slight problem with the water is slow in draining away in the shower that can cause the bathroom to flood a little. everything is' perfect, nothing to complain. No complaints. The staff are always willing to help out with any housekeeping or travel agency issues. Breakfast buffet was good, plenty of food but lacked a bit of variety after a few days. The quality of bacon, ham and sausages should improve the rest are acceptable as most of your guest are European. Nothing. - The staff (except manager and reception) needs to improve the english level. Bed was a bit hard and pillows too. No bikes to rent at the resort. (One can rent bikes from other vendors but they are usually not very good quality). The rooms with "garden view" have really no view at all and are somewhat dark. We have a waterbed at home, so found the bed a bit uncomfortable despite the mattress topper (but this is a common problem for us in Asia). The Spa (which doesn't belong to the hotel) was a bit disappointing. The staff were rather brusque and we didn't get the massage we actually wanted. It was a bit grubby as well. When we checked out, the staff kept us waiting while they checked that we hadn't stolen the hotels umbrellas! They were where we left them - outside our room. Found no weaknesses. The room and parts of the resort were a little 'tired' looking i.e. some renovation would be useful. The river view was nice but the incessant chugging noise of the boats on the river could be annoying. Minor only but it took some convincing to get the beer nice and cold. Rooms were a little dated and the shower leaked quite badly. Our bed was quite hard. Nothing. The pool was too warm to be refreshing!. Breakfast was perfectly adequate but not amazing. Watch out for the shower's hot water pipe, myself and my husband both burned ourselves. Rooms were dark and no view. The one window at the back of each had, if you were luck, a view into a tree and no construction noise. Mould on the walls in the shower. The bathroom is very small. Nothing. Nothing it ticked all our boxes. Nothing, highly recommended. Nothing. ants in the bathroom. The room was old and tired, it all needs a face lift. The restaurant manager was a bit over powering. It might just be a difference in approach or personality. It certainly didn't effect our enjoyment of the hotel. Needs better lighting in room. Nothing. We had a river view and the ferry which starts early in the morning is a bit noisy. However, you get used to it. Gym needs update. Nothing. Nothing. The room was a little gloomy. No faults what so ever, all that was missing was a ATM here. i found a cookroach in the room. the rooms were very loud, so you had to hear every step by the neighborhood we were little disappointed by the staff, as we were sick and had to wait for our flight at evening, we asked for a late check out. at first, the told, it shouldn´t be possible , although according letsbookhotel.com, there were 5 free rooms more, at second ask, they told, we could, but we had to pay about half day charge. Such was not very friendly to sick guests and little disappointing. Terrible staff, not helpful and not able to do properly that job. Before leaving a manager wanted to chek our bags because we took the laudry bag (cost 0,20$)!!! treating us like a thief!!!It has been ridicoulus that for a stupid laundry bag he pretended to search our personal belonging!!Nice hotel but never again...not a 4 stars hotel.
