  This was our second stay at Ancient house for a total of 6 weeks in 12 months. the resort is set in beautiful, shady gardens with an excellent pool that provides shade for most of the day. the design of the Resort is superb and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the breakfast is excellent and all staff are friendly and accommodating. it is ap... what people say » proximately 1.5 km from the town of Hoi An, however a regular shuttle bus service will take you to the town or the beach. bikes are available for gues - Ancient house staff were brilliant our entire stay. We were initially only going to say 2 days but ended up staying another 2 because we liked it so much. The Internet signal was a bit weak in the initial room we book so asked to be moved to another one closer to the reception and they just upgraded us instead. Very nice rooms and only 15-20 minute walk from town. Free bikes though rented through the hotel make the trip much quicker though.

  The location of this hotel was great. Very close to the ancient city and Japanese bridge area. The free bikes are also a bonus while there we used the bikes every day to see the countryside, go to the beach and visit local villages.   This is the only resort that is within walking distance into beautiful and historic Hoi An. The rooms are very well designed, setup and maintained. Love the lounges right outside each room as well. The staff are really attentive and knowledgeable too. The pool area is very nicely decked out and bar staff are very quick with service. We also took the free bike for hotel guest to ride to the beach - It is expensive to stay here but the setting of this hotel is lovely and definetly worth the extra money. The pool is great and very shaded and the food (when it does arrive) is very tasty. Our room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast is great - overlooking the river and there is a huge variety too. If you want luxury in the old town, then you should stay here.

  This is a relaxing place to stay, with a lovely swimming pool in the centre of the complex. The rooms open out onto balcony's and are spacious. Its a short distance to the central shopping area with lots of tailor made things to purchase. Also we hired bikes from the hotel at $1 full day hireage and biked out to the beach and through the villag... what people say » es. A Dr arrived within 30 minutes to our room when we needed one. Efficient and frinedly service, and we would return if travelling here again. - The pool was what drew me to this hotel. It was gorgeous although strong chlorine taste. The room was adequate and the bathroom was generous with a bath and separate shower. Lovely balcony overlooking the street which we like, so as to feel like we were actually in Vietnam, otherwise the hotel could have been anywhere! Breakfast was good, freshly made eggs as you please tops the list. Views were lovely from the 5th floor.

  Our stay here was very relaxing, the staff were friendly and helpful, the resort was clean and well presented, we hired bikes and rode into Hoi An which was a lovely way of seeing the town.   Although it is a large guest house and that there are many many young backpackers coming and going everyday the staff at the reception is extremely kind, helpful and smiling.   We stayed at Ancient River House for our honeymoon and loved it. It was so peaceful and quiet and we loved the location on the river and a bit out of the main busy town. The shuttle services where perfect for getting in and out of ancient town and we used the provided bicycles to go to the beach.   The hotel is very nice, located between the beach and the town. You get bikes for free so basically you can move around very easy. We had the cheapest room in the last floor and it was very big and clean. The breakfast buffet is very nice with a lot of choices. We have a large balcony room at £19 a night. The rooms and bathrooms are standard decorated hotel rooms, but spotlessly clean. Hotel pool is nice.
