The staff is very helpfull, friendly and professional, at the desk we were helped by Sergio. The Location is excellent, very nearby times square, Rooms are clean and good value for money. The Hotel feels very safe inside because of the good security. Frank and Duba. Our room was a suite_not requested. View of the Hudson was an extra. We really enjoyed the 3rd floor break room/coffe/drinks/snacks all day at no cost. Everyone was helpful with directions and transporation questions. I felt safe and the room was clean and neat.all reviews »
the security in the hotel was brilliant and the maid came round every day which was very impressive. also the location was excellent, i would definatley be back and recommend friends. We especially liked the convenience of the location of the hotel. The security was also excellent. We liked the efficient new elevators too.everything about hotel was great especially the location. When I thought that it was ready all of a sudden it started running very cold and I had to shut down the water completely. The faucets were kind of "loose" and it would probably be more efficient to reduce the room amenities and invest more on keeping the faucets working properly. one thing.....and you can fix it easily.......I am not a giant..6' 210, but since the shower is a little small, you should get a shower curtain rod that curves out so it gives you more room while showering.....many hotels have those now.Toilet needs replacement. no internet. I asked for a non smoking room but there was a smell of tobacco smoke in it. I found a cigaterre butt in the bathroom. A few of the security guys were not helpful in terms of carting luggage and that around - they just stood there and stared rather than point out more convenient modes of getting luggage down a level.Lack of restaurant or bar. No computer services (or USB charging of cameras \ MP3 players).Rooms close to elevators are noisy. comfort. No place to eat. Hotel amenities. the rooms werent the best very small and dated but i have been told thats the way most hotels in NY are. The plug sockets did not work properly. no bar or restaurant/snack bar ,rooms fine but could use a bit of decorating, if staying on 9th floor can hear people in gym on 10th floor late at nite maybe restrict time up to 11pm at nite not 24hr. rooms were very small beds were uncomfortable. Size of room.At first we were put in a tiny, moist and of fungus smelling room. We had to stay there for one night as there were no other rooms available. Fortunately we could move to a room twice the size for the rest of the week. I was surprised that they didn't clean our room after the first night or leave clean towels. Also the door was open when we returned.rooms were slightlt small. Looks very old. room needs to be refurbished. There was alot of noise from undefined sources (equipment/street).
