Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend.   The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for our stay, within easy reach of the things we wanted to do. It was easy to drive too, with easy parking behind the hotel. It was also easy to get out of Edinburgh from this location. The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers.
