ramada jarvis royal mount is the place to stay. pay a little extra and stay in a executive room overlookin edinburgh castle whilst standing on your balcony over lookin princes street. everything was in easy reach and we really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back. edinburgh was the best city we have visited so much better than london. resturants are great and are also within easy reach.
all reviews » Good location, walking distance from the Waverley Station, directly on Princess Street. Views of the gardens and castle, are well worth the upgrade price. Breakfast couldn't be faulted, self service so eat as much as you like. Room clean and comfortable, table and chairs which we used to take in the viw from our window. . the staff were very warm and welcoming. The room was well presented and the standards were high. The food was pretty good. I would say certainly value for money. It is ideally located and I had excellent views from my room. The staff were very helpful and made my stay very comfortable and relaxing. Staff were very helpful - customer service was excellent! The location of the hotel is ideal for shops, tourist attractions. The view from the restaurant/lounge and our room were amazing - Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle etc.The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were clean, tidy,comfortable,they upgraded us as they found out we were getting married, food, facilities etc all very good, we had a fantastic time. This one is located close to bus station. Our room had really nice castle views. The breakfast was very good.it was my birthday on saturday so we ate in restuant and the waiter made a fuss it was lovely. the atmospherre was welcoming and friendly. Great position in the heart of the centre and very near the railway station. Great breakfast choice. Would definately stay there again.the hotel ramada mount royal was a very pleasent hotel to stay in the price was remarkable and it is is a really good location. I dont like lifts just me Please ignore. we have stayed before but were annoyed to find that after trying to check in at twelve which we knew was early but left our luggage and we were told come back at two which we did and were again sent away as our room wasn't ready,. No. Bed too soft. Dinner menu limited and a little expensive. Admittedly, Edinburgh gets few days hot enough to require air conditioning, but the days we were there were 2 when it would have been handy! We had to sleep with the windows open, and the racket caused by louts brawling up and down Princes St kept us awake all night!. None. We had a problem with the internet. the rear room on the first night got an upgrade.

By Road From M8/Glasgow, Continue along the M8 until end of motorway (junction 1) Travel along City Bypass following directions North for approximately half a mile to Gyle/Golgar roundabout. Remain on the A8 into the City Centre of Edinburgh. The hotel is located on the left hand side of Princes Street. No access to hotel by car, nearest drop off point is South St. David Street. From M9/Stirling, Continue along the M9, past junction 1 (no exit) and up to the 'Newbridge' roundabout which connects the M9 with the M8. At the roundabout, turn left onto the A8 towards Edinburgh City Centre Remain on the A8 into the centre of Edinburgh. The hotel is located on the left hand side of Princes Street No access to hotel by car, nearest drop off point is South St. David Street.
