I absolutely loved the suite we stayed in (Sydney), the theme was fantastic and the room was gorgeous!!!! Although I did leave my Dermalogica products in the bathroom, any chance they could be forwarded to me?????. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The staff wereexceptionally helpful and the bar/nightclub was also good. Vip passesand queue jump to Shanghai was a good end to the night.

The only thing i didnt like the breakfast buffet selection it was poor.breakfast could have been better. a little noisy late at night, nightclub in basement. Bar downstairs seems to be a very trendy place - the place to be! very loud. Music can be heard in rooms above until the early hours. messed up the booking, the second night stay had to go to Belmoral for the same price (which I'm not sure is a "good deal"). Asked for bulb in shaving mirror to be changed in bathroom, Le Monde did not reciprocate. I would have expected this to be changed quickly for a five star hotel. lack of private parking. The cleanliness leaved a lot to be desired.. The beside lamps were very dusty and there was mould right around the glass pane above the bath. Reception made no attempt to check if room was ready at 2.40, guests luggage were all over reception. The bar staff were rude and inexperienced on the first night of our stay. Further the bar closed to all including residents at 1am. No free hotel parking or discounted alternative. Our room (Los Angeles) was was situated close to a nightclub, so duringthe first night we heard a lot of basses. Several parts of our room(ventilation outlets etc.) have never been cleaned. You can watch a dvd(that's cool) but only on the tv in the living, and not from bed or thebath. The bath-TV didn't have a remote control. Yes - there was no plug for the bath and it was difficult to get one by which time it was too late. Also no public lounge.Most of hotel information was not fully described enough for us to understand (such as the breakfast order) + Poor hotel facilities (i.e. our rood did not have the coffee machine due to its unavailability, no pen, no memo to write down the information). Overall we did not enjoy our experience at this hotel. The standard of the food was very poor. The room was not well prepared with regard to bathrobes, slippers etc. Room service was so slow that everything was cold by the time it arrived. I would not return to this hotel nor would I recommend it.

Travelling information

By Public Transport From Edinburgh Airport there is an excellent bus service that takes you into Waverley Bridge by the train station, only a few minutes’ walk from Le Monde. The bus journey takes about 25 minutes. The bus station is on the opposite side of St. Andrew’s Square, at the east end of George Street.
