The staff was really nice and at our service all the time. It was very clean and the two bedroom room is relly big and has it's own bathroom, and the price for 6 days was excellent. The location of the hostel is very good, everything in the center of Madrid is nearby, in the walking distance, especially the most famous museums in Madrid. There are various shops and resturants just across the hostel. We were really satsified :).
all reviews » The location is great. The value is great. Your really cant complain too much when it's about 30 euros a night in this location. Facility is a bit outdated, but it is cheaper and yet still a lot better and more comfortable than most hostels in Europe of that price range. It is clean for the most part and staff is friendly. We got a three people room for 30 a night. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The position of the Hostal was excellent - close to Atocha station, shopping, busses etc. They offered a great facility in that the luggage could be left at the hostal for the day, even tho' we had checked out.The room was spotless and quite roomy. Very reasonable rates too!. The location is great, only 5mins. away from railway station and bus stops. Plenty restaurants and bars close to hostal, and the centre of Madrid is a short 12mins. walk away. The rooms are clean, and bathroom was good,( good shower). Beds were OK, for the three night's we stayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, warm and there was plenty of hot water. The location was excellent for visiting the art galleries and the metro was just around the corner. Very good cafe across from the hostal entrance which served a lovely breakfast. Stayed only for 1 night and needed location near Atocha train station. For this - thats indeed a great option, 3 minutes walk from the train for fantastic price. There are some bars and a cafe for a quick breakfast in front of the hotel. Reception is 24 hours, room was clean. The hotel is very close to the train station, that's why we chose it. However it's quite convenient to access the centre of the city as well. We arrived around midnight to the hotel and were able to find a place to eat and to drink after a short walk. That is definitely plus. The value for money, safe location and having your room cleaned daily was great. The staff were very polite. Its situation is excellent, very close to Train Station Atocha, and also close to the central city-terminal of the Airport Express bus. Most of all we liked location, very close to metro and railway stations, not far from center. Great location, budget friendly. Room was pretty quiet. On the top (6th) floor. Close to the metro, Atocha railway station. Many cafes and restaurants around. The sink looks a bit dirty, and the bathroom smells like sewage at times. Again, it depends on what you are looking for on your trip. Would highly recommend it to backpackers, students and budget travelers, but not for romantic trips for mature couple. Bathroom door was broken and couldnt be closed. Bedside lights didnt work. No air cons. (although it wasnt particularly hot) and although there was a fan, we couldnt find where to plug it in!. Noise from the street outside the hostal at night, but we slept well. Our room fronted onto the main road which was a bit noisy at night and although it wasn't really a problem for us it could possibly affect light sleepers. Couldn't lock my room from inside and the light switch of the room was in the hallway (very weird). Also the acustics is incredible, you really can hear every move and word of your neighbor, which isnt very pleasant. But again, it s a good choice if you re just for one night. The overall feel of the place is that it is very budget. The walls were very thin and you could hear people in the next room. Guests tend to be young adults so noise is common until 1 or 2 am. The room was not that spacious to hold a wardrobe, a table that worked as a desk, a chair and the bed. The head of the bed was against the heater. Room was small but adequate for a single person. Cleaners started work at 6:30am!. No breakfast. Free wifi available in lounge but not in all rooms. The shower could have been bigger but like i say you get what you pay for. The door can't be locked (there is only a door knob on the outside), the missing air conditioning can be very bothersome in summer. The balcony door didn't close, the bathroom door either, the plastic paneling on the walls is looking very shabby. The area is very noisy and a bit scary at night. the bed it was not very comfortable, however we could sleep very well. Small bathroom. Nothing, but bear in mind the hotel is completely basic and budget. If you want something better, pay for something else. our room was a little dark inside (but we knew people with brighter rooms) there's wifi on the groundfloor, but the internet did not reach our room (214) unfortunately. Rooms not soundproof. Dark,dreary rooms. nothing much not to like for 20 quid for 2 per night!!. -. We couldn't connect the wifi and the furniture was really old. Also, there was no tv remote. Quite basic service, majority of the staff don't speak english to a level to understand your needs/ complaints, there is no internet in the rooms, most of the rooms are without view to the street/ no natural light, if you are going to stay to this hotel, please ask for a room with a street view. None. the noise from the street. No complaints. there was no smoking rooms. No cross ventilation P.B.Thakar Pune/India. good location close to Atocha train station , the price. Room felt a little too crowded. No electricity outlets provided to plug in the fan they gave. Only one in the bathroom and plugging it in the bathroom meant getting almost zero air as the cord wasn't long enough. Cramped in first room. (an interior room) Reasonably quiet but dingy and dark able to access WiFi in room. Moved to another room on street side with view. Noisy and unable to access WiFi in exterior facing rooms. Had to go downstairs to noisy lounge. Noise level from outside, late into night. Awkward bathtub and smell from bathroom. The bed was very (very) small for two persons. The English knowledge of the personnel was poor. we had room with windows on car road,it was veryvery noisy. Room smelt like sewage or garbage and could definitely use some modernization. Staff does not speak English We booked room with breakfasts. There are no any breakfasts in hotel. There is no buffet or dining room.
