We were welcomed by Spanish ladies who only spoke spanish. My spanish
lessons were put to the test. (Word of advice: ask for wifi asap so that
you could use an app for translating languages). For the price we paid,
I consider the bathroom/toilettes sanitary. Our twin room with
balcony is well presented. It is close to the trainstation, some
restaurants, and attractions.
-perfect location, just few metres from Reina Sofia
-very friendly personal, the woman (probably owner) allowed us to leave our luggage there till 5 pm. she also borrowed us her own hairdryer :). all reviews »
Its a very good hostal for people who are looking to stay in the center of madrid and don't want to spend money moving around in metro or buss.
The same Spanish ladies were very flexible to accept us at 11:30 in the evening for check in. We just had to inform them in advance. ;-).
The staff was nice and always available for support.
Near the railway station and metro, not
far from art museums.
Close to the train station
Cheap.
the price and the location.
clean, good location.
location.
The location is good, the lady who talk with us were very friendly.
Nice stuff.
The location was okay, Atocha is considered the center even though it is on the outskirts.
Location close to atocha.
Im sure the hostel is busy that small things are overlooked. I would
suggest to change the towels, they are a bit old and bleached but are
washed & clean! :-) or you could always bring your own towel ;-).
-TV was broken
-shelves in the shower were a little bit rusty, but it doesn´t matter.
The couple in the room next to us would always smoke with the door open so it would always smell like smoke.
Noisy street before windows.
Noisy due to a main street.
noisy.
tiny, shared bathroom.
the staff does not speak English.
The de room is poor and the bed were horrible.
Staff speaks no other language than Spanish!
no air conditioning.
The room looked like it should have come with complementary crack rocks, I wasn't allowed to use the kitchen, I wasn't shown around or introduced to people so I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe; I did not know who was staff and who was just staying there. There was an old guy walking around in his boxers. There was a sink in my room, the lighting was horrible. Everything was horrible.
very unfriendly staff, dirty room and no facilties.
