Receptionist were so nice and helpful. Also it was safe at the hotel, since La Rambla is not so safe at night the hotel locked their doors. Also loved the central location. I price sounds too good to be true to stay at such a hotel. Very central location. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, very friendly and helpful staff. Good shutters and curtains to shut out street noise. What more could you ask for of a one star?.

Having read some negative reviews I had some concerns, but we had no issues with street noise, didn't find the churchbells at all annoying, and some noise in the corridors is to be expected. Bed was also more comfortable than it looked!. this hotel is exactly what it says cheap and not like fancier hotels that charge 100 euros for a closet at least my room was a lot bigger than a lot of single rooms i've had in the past. Location: in the middle of night life, very close to shops, 15-20 minute walk to city beach, 15 minutes by taxi to airport. Great for short stay (1-3 nights). Some of the facilities appear a little "tired".Room not as visually appealing as presented on Bookings.com web site. walls thin so i could hear conversation of my neighbors.The beds were not very comfortable. should have breafast available.we ordered a double room and got two seperate single bed joint together, which was a bit uncomfortable. Wish there was air conditioning. and facilities to make tea and coffee in the room. No window that was uneable. The lifts! We had a normal sized pram and we struggled getting this intothe lift...We would stay at the hotel again, but not at the front of the hotel, as the noise from the eating establishments, at closing time, was sometimes quite loud. for the price i paid the hotel was very basic. Hairdrier must be taken- ventilation of the corridors must be done. Right next to a church which meant we were woken up at 6.00am every morning by bells!!. my room was small but fine for the price. church bells, rings two or three times every hour. It was very noisy particularly since it was located next to a church and the bells went off every time on the hour. the bells that ring every 30 minutes, no english tv and if you don't like lifts take the stairs.I'd better have price for single room about 60-65 euros but not 72. Guests need to bring earplugs to sleep well because of church bell. If you want to stay at hotel more than just for sleeping in the night in summer time you'd better stay at another place. The relation price-comfort. It was expensive compared to other hotels of the same type that i´ve been.The recepcionistneed more friendly and communicative. The "staff" (the man at the front desk) was curt and impersonal, but again it is a 1 star hotel, and he was efficient.Lack of facilities for eg. internet access and no common room for relaxing and no teas/coffees/snacks. Noise from the street, it was inpossible to close the window due to hightemperature and fan did not help, lack of air conditioning is the keyissue here.Cleaning staff very noisy before 9am. The "double bed" was composed of two single beds with a gap in the middle.Lacking of air-conditioner and TV set is too high on the wall for comfortable watching.
