Staff were very helpful. It is certainly a quirky hotel with regard to its entrance and decor. The all day buffet is excellent and includes hot and cold snacks/meals aswell as wine, beer and soft drinks included in the room price. The room we had was comfortable and we both slept exceptionally well. The hotel is very well located at the top end of La Rambla. right on la Rambla wonderful and staff so vey friendly and helpful.Being able to access to water for drinking all day.

Wallpaper peelng off the wall, cracks in the ceiling, it was very noisey, you could hear other people in their rooms, it was being renovated so we were staying in a building site. The old and dated bathrooms were not very functional and were noisey.they advertise it as a 3 star but should be only 1 star. The hotel room pictured on the net is the best room they have overlooking Ramblas. The room they supply has extremely worn out carpeting, no solid ceiling (covered by a thin cloth), and very little lighting.

The hotel tradition in our family dates back to 1898. The cosy Hotel Continental Barcelona in a semi-classical English style is currently being refurbished and extended.
This is not a luxury hotel but our aim is to ensure that guests feel right at home in a warm, friendly atmosphere. To achieve this, one of our most highly valued services is the snack buffet, where guests can eat and drink, free of charge, at any time of the day or night, 24 hours a day. A very special, unique service.

The hotel is set on Barcelona’s world-famous boulevard of Las Ramblas, just off the lively Plaça Catalunya. Around here you will find the city’s most popular shopping streets and many of its main tourist attractions, including the Gothic District.
