Staff were friendly, polite. Was simple and easy to check in, no fuss at all. The place was spotless all the time, daily service of beds being made never disturbed us. Shared bathroom was not an issue at all, as there was a toilet, shower room and bath/shower room right outside our door. Amazing central location for the price, literally 10 seconds off La Rambla and two minutes from Placa Catalunya, made it really easy to get around (e.g. bus to/from airport from placa catalunya and metro so clo. all reviews »
The location couldn't have been any better for access to Las Rambla, bus stop, restaurants, and even a small market where we could buy water, drinks, snacks. If you like to walk, close enough to walk to beach and other sites in Barcelona. The shared bathroom facilities were never a problem; access to computer and printer a plus. Staff were all great to answer questions in English. Would stay again if ever back in the area.
Fabulous location -- 5 min walk from the center of town where the
airport bus drops you off. 30 seconds from Las Ramblas. Great price.
Charming old building on pedestrian street. Not updated and a bit run
down but very clean. Very spacious room with high ceiling and even
French doors and a balcony. Our room faced a back courtyard and was
totally quiet. Free wif-fi.
Hostal Campi had the perfect location. It was right by the main plaza and just off La Rambla (one of the main attractions in Barcelona). THere were fantastic restaurants and shops all around. It was also right near the Cathedral and the Barri Gotic. It was simple and comfortable and a great, reasonably-priced option for Barcelona. I would definitely recommend it.
Great location, in the center of the city. Very helpful stuff and a 24h reception. Although we had a shared bathroom it was as clean as it would be if it was private!! On the check out day, they can keep your luggage someplace until 8 in the afternoon. We would definitely stay there again!.
Very clean and quiet. Reasonably priced for city centre No queuing for toilets or showers. Very good central location. Always someone on duty. Very comfortable beds. I stayed here about eight years ago and was pleased to find it was as good as last time.
The location of the Hostal is perfect. Facilities are minimal but they can do the work. Toilet in our room was share but it was always empty. Stuff is friendly. For low budget hostal is really great !.
The interior rooms were quiet. The location was perfect. Sharing bathroom facilities was easy (it was great having a sink in the room). They had a wee sitting room to make tea and coffee.

The hotel is up several long flight of stairs with no elevator. A real
hassle with heavy luggage.

Not suitable for anyone unable to climb stairs. Our room was on the 4th floor. (91 steps!) We didn't mind as it kept us fit.
toilet in our floor was too small. As shower too. Also the should put refrigerators in rooms or in the floor.
There is no elevator.. In order to reach your room you need the climb the third or forth floor with stairs.. Indian guy working at the night shift may try to be more polite.. it isn't just about the job it is also about the attitude ;).
I found Barcelona overall to be very overpriced; you get much more for
your money in other European cities. Sure it's a great place and
there is lots to see, but I do feel that they exploit it's
popularity. Food was overall disappointing for what you pay.
