The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially the young lady at Reception. Central location and friendliness of staff. Friendly staff, great location, very clean. The location could not be better in terms of proximity to Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and Gaudi, so it was good for the tourist bit but even better for the shopping and nightlife. The staff were efficient and professional. The breakfast was ok too.

The hotel has a great location, in a pedestrian-only street less than a minute from La Ramba or Pl. Catalunia, but at least some of the rooms (like mine) face a back inner-square, so there was no noise from the street. I reserved a room for a single, and it was relatively big for such a room in the center of the city. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We love Carlos at the reception desk. He made every day enjoyable. The breakfast every morning was succinct and good. Although my wife tells me the breakfast in her 2 star hotel in Rome was much better offering more options and do it yourself services.Our party of 8 travellers enjoyed our visit to Barcelona and especially the execellent location of the Hotel which was within convenient walking distance to sights that we were interested in. The hotel staff and the staff for the b reakfasts were very helpful. The excelente location of the hotel. Just 5 min walking distance of Plaça de Catalunya, where we can find the aerobus, and all the transports for everywhere in the city. Also it is at 5 min walking distance from the Barri Gotic.Perfect location in the center of the sity, very close to the metro station. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast-the same every day, and after the second day of your stay you get bored of it!. The hotel was good location to go to everywhere.And Airport bus stop is near the hotel.There are a lot of nice shops around the hotel.The room was very spacious and clean, it is very central, an excellent choice to explore Barcelona in particular La Ramblas, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to visit again. Beds were a little bit on the spartan side - but it didn't detract from our enjoyment during the stay.Breakfast is a bit poor. Everything would be perfect if not the paper walls..Cleaners in the morning shouting on the corridors which was waking me up, could heare every step person leaving above me. This was the only minus. they have to know that our days are difficult with the global crisis and for this reason they must do something with the prices of the hotel but this is general all the hotels must do something. Absence of an internet facility. breakfast was a bit basic. the noice. The breakfast was pretty awful - the coffee was undrinkable and the portions were laid out at each place, so who knows how long they had been there?. I didnt like to have breakfast in a smoking area. No options was offered for nonsmokers.The extra bed was to small. The provision of tea/coffee facilities in room would have enhanced what was a very pleasant stay...even if it added a little to the cost.Don't have any negative comments to make. I didn't like that some towels had hard stains (you could tell that they had been washed, just that the stains didn't go away). If you're staying in the lower floors you're bound to get some noise from the street.Breakfast was limited. Some fresh fruit, some differences each day would be good. Rooms could do with upgrading. Bathrooms are claustrophobic. The breakfast was very basic - 3 assorted rolls, cheese, orange juice and coffee/tea. Besides my room has a safe, but using it meant paying additional 2 euros a day.We did not like the pillows and bed. I guess we are just used to our fluffy pillows and soft bed. The lift to the upper floors was quite small and not conveniently located.
