Clean room in an excellent location for the Rambla and Ciudad Gotic. We
also were on the interior, therefore quiet, side of the building. The
staff, both at the hostal and the Hotel Cortes next door (They operate
in tandem), were excellent.
Friendly, cheap hotel, slap bang in the middle of Barcelona. Our room
was clean, basic and quiet. Staff were helpful with good English. I
would recommend this place as a convenient cheap place to stay.
If you want a relatively cheap place to only sleep in the heart of Barcelona then this is a perfect accommodation. Staff was nice, it was clean (cleaned every day, new sheets).
People working there are absolutely amazing! Very helpful. I'm recommending it to my friends. Can't imagine to stay anywhere else when I come back.
The staff are of great hospitality. The design of the inn is warming and comfortable. Although it has limited space, all the places are clean.

Location was amazing, so easy to get to, since we came off-peak, the wee pedestrian street was extremely quiet at night.

i ordered en-suite and my en-suite had shower and sink, but toilet was shared one in hallway, (although always clean).
The room is overpriced even for the location. It was hot and the ceiling
fan did little to move the air. Very narrow staircase and no elevator.
This room would be fine in the cool season, but in summer it's
better to pay more for ac (book ahead!) or stay farther out but near a
Metro station.
Small rooms with even smaller window. Walls are like paper, so a bit noisy.
The wifi signal should be improved upstairs. We can only search the signal on stairs.

t the noise. the hostel is just located in the center of Barcelona. The pubs and bars open all the nights. So it's quite noisy around. Besides it's summer now and no air condition here. we must keep the windows open. all the nights we hear people talking outside.
We came with a baby and didn't know it was upstairs. It's not a massive problem, but an easier access would have been a +.
We were looking for the staff to ask for more information on the breakfast deal they offered; but they were nowhere to be seen, so we just made our way to some other place.
Wifi did not work and the walls were paper thin.i could hear the people in the next room as if they were in my room.If you want peace and quiet this is not the hotel for you. The shared bathroom is very clean but as the walls are so thin you can hear the toilet flush all through the night.If you want the ideal location for shopping and visiting the sites then this is great. Only a 5 min walk from placa de catalunya where you can pick up the airbus.€5.90 and a 35 min journey.

They offer a double bed room, but it is a single room with 2 beds that can´t be put together. Not good when travelling with your couple.
Bedbugs!! Really, after first night I woke up covered in bites, my eyes swelled as two pillows. A member of stuff admitted they used to have insect issues in the past but he refused to give us the other room. And yes, it looks amazing on the photos, but I suspect they took them somewhere else.
