Hotel Monterey Osaka is very convenient to Osaka station making it a great base for accessing the city. It's easy to get to from Osaka Kansei via the train or bus. Get off at the second stop if using the airport bus service to the city. Exit the station via the Sakurabashi exit. The hotel itself has an old world feel. A reconstructed stone chapel in the court yard for weddings adds a unique touch. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. You can open the window in .
all reviews » The whole entire decor of the hotel made me feel as though I was in 1930/50s New York. Even the room had an old-world feel to it. The hotel was located close to the JR station, which also meant that, the hotel was located close to the shopping district. There was Wifi throughout the hotel! Even in our rooms. The toilet was so spacious! so much different from the other hotels in Japan!. It was my first holiday to Japan and staying at the Monterey Osaka gave me more reason to visit again! It was a most pleasant stay, the location was great, near to JR Osaka Station and the Umeda Subway Station. Nearby to a lot of eateries. And I really liked the architecture of the property in the middle of a business district - Charming property. I highly recommend it. Great location. Near the train station and lots of shops, restaurants, convenient stores or small supermarkets in the train station. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. And if I were to go back to Osaka I would stay here again. The triple rooms were nice and spacious and there was a nice chapel in the building as well. Did not have a grand entry to hotel. Selection of hot drinks can be improved. No coffee satchets were provided especially for non-tea drinkers. The entrance of this hotel is part garage because the front desk is not easy to spot until you enter a small doorway to spot the sign that says - front desk is in the 8th floor. room size is pretty small for a family of 3. No free mineral water. The room is too small. The hotel is just beside the railway and if you got a room that faces it. It will be very noisy till late at night. Wifi has problem on Dec 13 night, and can not use internet. 1. Our double bed is too small;. Bathroom, bedroom front office and many facilities are very old and obsolete. A staff is impolite when check in Need renovated.
