the room was the more spacious that we had in japan (includes Tokyo and Kyoto) - altough the semidouble room Bed could be kind of small (1.2 m) but romantic :) Very good location - for foreigners that have JR Passes and arrive at Shin Osaka station with Shinkansen - you have to transfer to JR lines inside the city in Shin Osaka and take for 1 or 2 stops to Osaka Station. The hotel is right at the exit Sakurashin or somenthing with Sakura Gate. In this station is vital to know very good the gate.
all reviews » the location is only 5 min to osaka jr station, if you know how! at jr osaka station, find or ask for sakurabashi gate( don't ask for hearton hotel if you do, even the staff working at station show you a long way) exit this gate and cross the busy wide street,here you see umesan kouji-this is a small eateries arcade about 50 metres long, go through tothe end , here you cross a small street on your left hand the first high rising building is your hearton hotel,but if you can not speark japanese. Next to the Umeda station and very good if you want to explore not only Osaka but also some nearby cities. Some rooms and the lifts have nice views of the area. We stayed 3 times there and our rooms were not on the side where the trains pass, so we can't say if it is noisy. We didn't hear them on our side. There is a passage way to the station with different restaurants. Friendly english speaking staff. If you need information just ask at the reception desk. The rooms were nice with big beds (w. Good location (Nishi-umeda area) and very short walk from Osaka Station- Sakurabashi south exit, then through a short strip mall called Umesan Koji. Excellent breakfast. Be sure u understand that the Osaka Station is not Shin-Osaka Station. The Shinkansen operates out of Shin-Osaka, not Osaka Station. Osaka station is a good location from which to use the JR loop. The loop makes it convenient to get to various parts of Osaka, especially Dotonburi!. Excellent location, 2 minutes walk from Osaka JR station. If you stay in Osaka and plan to travel to nearby cities by JR, a very convenient hotel. They have wifi construction these days and is expected to be completed in Aug. 2013. It will make the hotel more attractive, now it provides free LAN in room where internet speed is excellent as well. Highly recommend this hotel. Really friendly staff and nice clean and well maintained hotel. Very close to the station. Breakfast was a nice selection of western and local choices. The rooms were really clean, a bit small (which is typical in Japan) but had a really comfortable feel. The floor also had vending machines and ice dispensers daintily placed near the elevators. The location was great. It was a quick 5 minute walk from the jr Osaka Station, and 90% of the walk was under cover. On the path to the hotel from the station, there are a variety of restaurants along the way; ramen, katsu, sushi, udon, pasteries, etc. All good and great prices!. The hotel is close to JR train station in Osaka and when you have been once at the hotel, it takes only 5 minutes to reach the train and subway station. The room was comfortable. I had to delve for info. Even my 10 yr old daughter noticed me having to dig for information. Difficult to find the hotel, be sure to download a map from Google before trying to venture out and search for the hotel. Non-smoking room is close to the other smoking room. My credit card (VISA) won't work not sure why, I have to use my friend credit card instead. Room was a tad small. No space to open my big luggage fully. room is small, double beds only 140cm, limited tv channel. The room was quite small for 3 people, but we were expecting that and it was fine for 2 nights. No wifi in room, and room was quite small. The pot for boiling hot water is too small. Wifi only at the ground floor level.
