location is very good, in the center of the city, most suitable for people who love city views; steps aways from JR station and airport limousine bus; rooms located on 21-27 floor, very good sight; modern facility, shower water hot and soft, rooms small but sufficient, esp. for short stay of business travellers; the renovated rooms are more modern, esp. suitable for women (we booked several ones so were able to see the difference between new furniture and the less recent pieces in different roo.
all reviews » We reserved a standard double room for 2 nights and upon check-in we were told our room has been upgraded to the superior room on the 27th floor without any extra fee! Absolutely a very pleasant surprise. The room was great with all the facilities, and it's very spacious compared to Japan's standard. The lounge on the 27th floor was just lovely. Location is also unbeatable: it's steps away from jr Osaka station and subway Umeda station. Hotel is part of Osaka station city. Department stores feature lots of restaurants and food malls on the two basement floors. The airport limousine bus leaves from across the road outside the Herbis building. The SHinkansen station at Shin-osaka is one stop away from Osaka station. A guest lounge On 27 th floor has free soft drinks, tea and coffee and cookies. Very nice hotel, convenient location, at osaka station, near shopping, access to virtually all travel modes w/i the city. They actually did an upgrade for us, but we ended up not taking it. See the 'didn't like' comment. The standard room we were returned to was small, but neat, clean, updated, modern. Looked somewhat like the std. Room in the photos. Fantastic location with all types of transport at your door step. The Hanshin Food Hall that's opposite the hotel is just brilliant with plenty of other great restaurants in the area. The staff were so helpful, the rooms are delightful with views of the city lights. Would stay there again. Location in Umeda Station ideal, one minute from JR lines. Other lines also within underground complex. Room smelled clean, extra mattress under one twin bed. Staff very courteous. Small hotel as first 14 floors of bldg. are retail. Did not use any hotel amenities. We liked the hotel for :- (1) its central location right above the Osaka Station; (2) its friendly staff, especially Ms Hiroka who had been superb in helping us book our rented car and golf reservation; (3) the in-room (Classic Room) audio/video system. (3). - wonderful position (inside the railway/subway station you just have to walk a few steps and voilà the hotel is there!) - staff very keen on english language - hotel settled within a large complex encompassing the railway/subway station and a shopping center. Outstanding location at the Osaka train terminal meant finding it was easy. A large team off staff have everything covered, from check in to luggage forwarding services. The room (whilst very small) had a nice panoramic view of the city. We were surprised to be given 27th floor, an exclusive floor with card entry to enter the floor, a public lounge with free drinks and cookies and an exclusive checkout counter. Room have huge window for sky view of Osaka city. Love it!. Good views of city from hotel room. Entrance to the hotel was a bit tricky to find at first.. You should exit the train station through the "south gate building" exit and look for the hotel's sign. Drinks in lobby lounge are very expensive. Given upgrade from standard room to 'better' room. It was much larger, but; carpet was poor and poorly installed, wall cover was coming off, furniture (sofa, coffee table, dresser) was old, dilapidated and needed replacement. Did not want to spend time in this kind of room, so asked for change. It did not come close to any of the photos. Many restaurants, coffee shops not open in station during 6-7am hours. Bought breakfast at convenience store right in front of hotel entrance and ate in room each morning. Our Classic Room is a bit tight especially when you have to accommodate 2 extra golf bags. It is an extremely busy hotel and the lobby is very crowded and smells of cigarettes. The restaurants were expensive so we did not bother. But the worst part of the stay was the mattress and pillow- both the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on!. nothing. Room size is not we were used too. It's very short in space if you have more than one bag. First room was comfortable but small for two people and view of wall - wasn't what we expected after arriving at midnight -we were too tired from our flight to worry about it. The room size is small compare to the money that was paid for a hotel. Poor mattress, lack of extra blankets, very thin pillows. No coffee in the room. A very big hotel with lots of people fighting for the same services, such as check in and elevators. there was no proper luggage service at hotel entrance. we had to look for hotel staff to help with luggage. reception area did not have enough seats. Internet capacity is far below the today's average accepted level. Overall room size a bit small, esp. at one night (25 Aug) we stayed in Rm 6032 really small. The other nights in 6035 still "acceptable". More TV free programs. Nothing. Bigger room size would be nice. There vod selection was not very good for the moey they charged. Smoke atmosphere in foyer areas. Japan must understand that a lot of countries have banned totally, smoking in public areas and where food is served. The toilet had a sour smell (smell of bacteria). Although the staff tried to clean it, the smell was still there. Wi fi not stable. The room is too small. No bench for luggage. Not easy to find. None. "check in" time. 3:00 pm is too late for a day. No view from room. Reception teams's attitude was "I will explain why we cannot" rather than "Yes, I can" or "I will try" But there were a few who did what they could do. Room was at the end of a long corridor where the carpet was very worn. Need of refurbishment.
