The hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay and we were able to check in early, before 12, into a large spacious room. The food quality was very good as were the prices. The hotel is only a short walk from the main shopping street in Cork and the surrounding area was quiet. The leisure facilities are good although the locker area needs an upgrade. Overall the hotel facilities were perfect.

There are better hotels in Cork, but for a night out without pricey taxis etc you will be hard beat to find better than this place.That we got a warm welcome, we where able to have a quiet drink in the bar before we went into the city. good selection of bar food and close to the city. Food, view from room, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Receptionists, both days were fantastic. absolutely excellent in every way. Very friendly and helpful staff.Staff were very friendly. every thing was verynice. Staff were lovely. Leisure centre. swiming pool. Excellent staff, asked about early check in and was sorted with-in a shopping trip to the city centre. Hotel only a short walk from the city centre. Bar food ecellent. Also recommend the sky link bus service from the airport with the drop off right outside the hotel. The drivers to and from the airport were a credit to the company and Cork it's self. We even liked the view from our window of the sad graveyard.location and the gym was very good and the all Irish staff were very friendly its nice to have an irish greeting from the staff. Only when you struggle to find a space, drag your stuff in, and stand at reception do you realise there are other pay parking alternatives nearby (as detailed in the tatty A4 notice stuck on the reception desk). the windows only opened at the top, can be too warm in hot weather. Parking was a problem. the view from our room window was a graveyard. the room was a little stuffy. Only one elevator in operation, but this would only be temporary. difficult to park car. The Car Parking area is very small and moving your car while staying atthis Hotel is almost unthinkable.found that rooms were very close together could hear something as quiet as people talking in next room. Bit noisy at weekend. The view, We were looking at the back yard.. no I will be staying at the hotel again. Not enough towels in room for two people. Had to make two requests during a 5 night stay however, response time was quick. parking was a problem at the hotel, we had to park a few streets away in an overnight car park. The lack of customer parking is a severe drawback and would influence my choice to stay there again. was a bit cool in the room. The carpark is not big enough! The church clock strikes every hour and heard during the night as well as window open due to humid conditions!!. price of drinks in the bar!. Breakfast was too expensive. the pool was being refunished and I wanted to swim. Could have done with mor lifts. All perfect. food or sandwiches were not available in the bar at 20.00 hrs. broken glass on the floor of the bathroom. my room was to noisey from traffic and got very little sleep. Parking quite limited on an admittedly very busy weekend (Bank Holiday and Cork Jazz Festival weekend). The breakfast was advertised at 10 euros on the website and when we checked in, but it was actually 12.50 euros. It was of a poor standard with no vegetarian hot food alternatives (e.g. sausages). The fruit selection consisted of a rather unappealing bowl of tinned fruit and what I can only guess was prunes. Not worth 12.50 euros. I also wanted a massage but the 1 person who does them was away!. Breakfast buffet quite simple for the price that was asked (12,50). horrible carpets on the floors. Windows were drafty, not good during bad weather experienced while there. Rowdy people in early hours could be heard from street.No Parking if your down after five if I had know this I would of booked somewhere else with parking as the money I saved booking here disapeared after I had to pay for on street parking. Window did not close in my room so all I heard all night were cars and everyone drinking in the bar. Plenty of under age drinkers in the bar. I can 100% say half of them where under 18!! Not a good sign!!. no complimentary toiletries - i was travelling light and did not take shampoo etc with me!! We paid extra for breakfast one morning,it was buffet style. selection was ok but the cooked items were poor quality.ie bacon and sausage. Didnt do breakfast in hotel again!.

When travelling from Dublin (N8), follow the Cork city centre signs into the Dunkettle Roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the N8 ramp to Corcaigh/Cork/N20/Luimneach/Limerick. Take the 1st exit at the next roundabout - (Lota roundabout). Continue straight ahead along the Lower Glanmire Road following the city centre signs. Turn left at Water Street (you can't go straight ahead) and continue along Horgans Quay (river is on your left). Continue straight ahead passing 4 bridges on your left (river is on your left always). Once you have passed the 4th bridge on your left take the immediate right up Musgrave Road pass the Dominican Centre (yellow & pink building) on your left. The Maldron Hotel Cork City is halfway up this hill/road, take the second left. When travelling from Waterford or Rosslare (N25), follow the Cork city centre signs taking the 1st exit at the Lota roundabout. Continue straight ahead along the Lower Glanmire Road following the city centre signs. Turn left at Water Street (you can't go straight ahead) and continue driving along Horgans Quay, (river is on your left). Continue straight ahead passing 4 bridges on your left (river is always on your left). Once you have passed the 4th bridge on your left take the immediate right up Musgrave Road pass the Dominican Centre ( yellow and pink building) on your left. The Maldron Hotel Cork is halfway up this hill/road, take the 2nd left. From Limerick (N20) From the Limerick direction (N20), carry straight on following signs for City Centre, until you have passed Blackpool Shopping Centre. At the next set of traffic lights you need to turn right. Continue straight on now, passing Heineken Ireland on your right until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn right at these traffic lights and take the immediate right again up Musgrave Road pass the Dominican Centre (yellow & pink building) on your left. The Maldron Hotel Cork City is halfway up this hill/road, take the second left. Parking at the Maldron Hotel Cork There are complimentary but limited car park facilities at the hotel. Disc parking is available on the street outside the hotel from Monday to Saturday from 08.30-18.30 (2 hours max). Outside of these hours and on Sundays and bank holidays street parking is free of charge. You can purchase a parking disc from our reception.
