Hotel very good, no complaint at all. Convenient, the door is the subway, facilities concise, and very clean, the staff of the service is also very enthusiastic. Many varieties of breakfast, in addition to croissants and French baguettes, you can also choose corn flakes, as well as yogurt and fruit available. Rooms are cleaned every day, free luggage storage. Overall quite satisfactory. But stay alert other passengers in the restaurant next to the hotel do not go, it is specifically deceive hot.
all reviews » - Before we arrived, the hotel GM sent us email, offer us to provide extra bed for free, for our 6 years old daughter. I failed to reply, but when we arrive at the hotel, the extra bed already prepared for us. What an excellent service. - The staff is friendly, speak English fluently and helpful. - Very good location, few meters walk to the entrance of Gare de'Lest station. - Even though the room is quite small for 3 of us, but it was very clean and well maintained. We reached Rome rather early, Roma Termini already closed, a day before our booking date. Called Amiot to ask if there is an available room as we have nowhere to stay, they accommodated us and even assisted how to get to the hotel. When we reached the hotel, a friendly guy welcomed us and lead us to our room. In less than 10 minutes we were ready for a good night rest. The hotel location is a good 5 to 10 minutes walk to Cornelia train station. The hotel is right across the street from la Gare de l'Est and a short walk from la Gare du Nord - unbeatable if your stay in Paris needs to end with an early departure to the airport. A metro station is at the front door. You may think a hotel opposite of a train station is no good, but Amiot is quite ok. It was clean, though rooms were small. WiFi worked fine, bathroom was clean. The room was quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from giving directions to advising me the best way to to Gare du Nord (by bus!). I chose this hotel for the low price and got a single room. The hotel is appropriately rated as 2-star; it's fine if one doesn't have high expectations. It's clean, everything worked, and has a good location. I was able to walk there, with all my luggage, from Gare du Nord. The room was much bigger than I expected and very comfortable. The safe was very convenient and easy to operate. The elevator operated during my entire stay (typically, in a budget-friendly hotel in Paris, the elevator breaks down at least once). The hotel is very close to a number of Metro and bus lines. I would stay here again. The staff is helpful, room is clean, the transportation is very easy to find in the surrounding area. Breakfast is totally enough for long hours. The best part of the accommodation is the view of the city from the top rooms. I can only recommend to everyone who needs a room for few days in Paris!. But the staff admit that & give solution for us to access wifi from the lobby. It's not really trouble us actually. If you arrive late in Rome and train station is closed, travelling from the train station to the hotel by taxi would cost you about Euro 20 (more or less. It's not too close to the city center. The price-quality ratio is ok, but could be better. Did get to try breakfast due to early departure. The single room is not as well appointed as the doubles, and it was up a tiny 6-step narrow stairwell. And the shower was quirky. Having said that, I'm not upset but I can see how some people could be. For me, it was all part of the adventure of traveling. The neighborhood isn't the best, but there were always enough people around that I felt safe. Mattresses are too soft, very soft-cover. A little musty smell but to be expected with building of this age. Staircase a bit ascew due to age of (historic) building. No show stoppers, would stay there again!. There is one creaky elevator, it is a miracle it keeps working, night and day! I dread to think what would happen if it broke down. No negatives. The lift was small, just enough for three people without luggage, or one with luggage... but to be expected in most of Europe. There was a musty odor, as if the walls were cleaned with a dirty rag. I stayed in room 16 which was approached by a very narrow passage which was not wide enough to take my suitcase width so it had to be carried instead of wheeled. The shower in the room was way to small I could hardly move in it. Beds a little short for anyone taller than 6 feet. No air-con: OK for us as we stayed in Autumn when it was cool but mid-summer could pose a problem as there is a lot of noise from the street with the windows open. Square European pillows are not comfortable (but this is a problem all through Europe for those who are accustomed to using rectangular pillows). Hotel could benefit from some TLC and decorating, however there was evidence of improvement works being carried out whilst we were there. A very good base for sight seeing in Paris though. Charging for local calls for 50 cents/ min. Was bit too much. I could have used my na cell phone as roaming instead. One of our group was ravaged by bed bugs (which can happen anywhere really). Hotel sent them to pharmacy and paid for the medication but only deducted one half of one night from their bill. Desk clerk very apologetic but that was the decision of the manager. My wife and I have two young kids with three luggages. We were placed on the 6th floor and the elevator was only until 5th. I asked to be given a room, anywhere between 1st to 5th Floor. We were told 4-beds are housed on the 6th Floor. We have to carry all our heavy stuff to the higher floor. Imagine the inconvenience we endured for 3 days in the hotel!. smell of humidity in the room/bathroom. The building is old and the amenities are old - but it is clean, and for that price you can't complain. Lift is rather small and It has broken at a time of our departure. But staff was so friendly that they delivered our luggage to the first floor themselves. Internet Wi-fi do nor work inside the rooms, only near the reception, with weak signal. Wi-fi dropped out frequently. The restaurant very small almost everyday we had to wait for an empty table. I think they should find a way to expand it. The quality of breakfast good . of course with the price they have you cannot expect a larger variety. The windows in my room didn't close properly - it appeared as if someone had been over-enthusiastic with a bucket of paint, and the paint had effectively glued one of the windows into position. The stairs are very narrow. Everything in the hotel, particularly the bathroom, looks a bit old and in need of renovation. The decor was a little tired (to be kind) but in terms of value for money it was perhaps to be expected. Room was a little bit smelly not sure if it was smoking smell or similar to that. only one power outlet in the room used for the TV and another one in the bathroom so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom!. I suggest to have this hotel renovated a bit giving the excellent location and to avoid any negative feedbacks. the room has no hairdryer, we ask for hot water in the afternoon and they said it was only available in breakfast. the nearly neighborghood was not ver nice, but its totally bypassable with the underground. The neighborhood was a little rough. My bed was on a lean. No complaints about this hotel. Breakfast very small and squashed. The breakfast was very good although the space available was rather crowded ( the Hotel being fully booked). Very small bathroom. Not themost charming of neighbourhoods. No lift/elevator to the 5th floor Some issues with the toilet flush No wi-fi signal on the 5th floor... Basically: great as long as you don't stay on the 5th floor... Hard beds, otherwise a great deal. If The breakfast could be improved a bit. Area surrounding hotel is not so nice, but the hotel itself is just near the metro station; breakfast is quite moderate, but typical for Paris; overall all is good considering budget option.
