extremely close to the railway station. friendly receptionist who remembered I was English speaking and greeted me in English each time I came in and out of hotel. room was small but clean as was bathroom. substantial breakfast with choice of meat, cheese, yoghurt, juice, coffee, cereal and baked goods. The hotel was very clean with lovely bedding. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinking Water was left in the room on a daily basis, and tea /coffee available free of charge in reception . Good position right next to metro stop and buses.

Proximity to train stations (metro as well as RER) and the hop-on, hop-off open tour bus stop (yellow line) is just 200m away. Did not leave my bags for safekeeping the day we checked out since the reception area was not a secure area for bags. I decided to check bags at Gare du L'est for the day. Room was rather small. The neighborhood gets a bit problematic late at night,. Climbing the stairs to the first floor. broken shower mixer and bath door, worn bathtub. only have little reach breakfast add egg in the menu. The wi-fi service was dead when I stayed there for 3 days, no lift from the front door to reception. Breakfast is pretty poor, just breads with cheese and ham, even no egg. Beverage only few choices. Finally very noisy, I could hear the sounds from corridor when housekeepers clean the rooms at morning. Distinct lack of storage - no drawers or shelves so impossible to fully unpack. Bath had no safety handle, non-slip surface or bathmat so did not comply with expected health & safety. No seal on shower screen meant floor always got wet. 1. Wifi was never able to be logged on 2. No lift from ground floor to rception 3. Rooms a bit small. They have not released my deposit which was put on hold and I have paid my bill in full by cash on departure. Once business transaction is completed they don't care about service (after service). Poor. I would not recommend based on this. The prices for hotels in Paris are absolutely unfair comparing with many other European countries. Rooms in the hotel are very small. Breakfast is poor (the variety of food is extremely small).
