Upon arrival, which was very late at night we were shown to our room which only had twin beds. At once the receptionist apologised and asked us to wait in the room for a few minutes, while he went away to see if he could locate for us a double room. It was on a direct bus route to the port, important as we were going to Corsica. It was within walking distance of the railway station where we could catch the 99 bus to the airport(4 euros each!). Location was very good for us for the little amount of shopping we
needed to do in Nice. The Intermarche across the road for snacks and
drinks could not be better (shame they don't have chilled beer). The
closeness to the beach was also an asset after our exercise/swim in
