Staff were great, location ideal for beach, shopping and restaurants and as a base to visit other locations such as Monaco, Villefranche and Beaulieu and proximity to airport. Having its own beach immediately opposite the hotel with the restaurant is a distinct advantage . Great beds. The concierge service was the best I have ever had in my 40+ years of traveling! The room was excellent. We were right on the Promenade in Nice and adjacent to the old city Ville Nice. We appreciated having parking as well. Look forward to a return visit!.
all reviews » Very comfortable room overlooking street. Down the block were all the markets by day and restaurants and cafes by night. Around the corner was the beach. One block up was the tram to the station or buses to other parts of town. Perfect location!. The location is perfect - at the edge of Old town but still at the quiet and not crowded place. This room was dearer than the Cocoon rooms at time of booking and they may be smaller but have more privacy and loungers which our terrace area lacked. That I couldn't stay longer!. Parking is headache!. A lot of noise from the street, because of old windows in the room. A common problem for the hotel said some of the staff in the reception, but still we ordered a quiet room before arriving. Too short a stay!. Room could be a bit bigger. Decoration a bit 'tired'. Breakfast expensive. Nothing really. N/A. No double glazing and near a building site also our room was near a night club. After paying they charged one item from the mini-bar we did not take. Rather small rooms for the money!!!!. The carpet was very dirty, the breakfast is over priced as near by restaurant are much cheaper. Whilst ill one evening I phoned down to have a cup of tea delivered by room service as there was no tea making facilities in the room. I was told that they were too busy even though I explained that I was in bed ill and could not come down to a busy bar. This to me was unacceptable on a number of levels. Décor Bedroom carpet didn't look very clean and didn't want to walk on it in bare feet. Mail process. Mail was not passed on to me. A friend who was travelling with me also posted mail at the desk, which has not been received in Australia. Price for the room was too high. Broken shutter on window & horrible view. Capeting was stained and ripped. Lighting in room is terrible. 24Hrs room service was not available Signage to the hotel was no where to be seen. Air con didn't work in two different rooms and they clearly knew this when they gave us the room. Cleanliness of shower was poor and in our so called superior room there was hardly any hanging space for clothes or space for suitcases. - No Room Service - When I ask for something, they tell me to come and pick it up from reception instead of delivering to my room - Room was not clean - Facilities were old - Bed was not comfy at all and pillows were really bad. No comfort , no air conditioning service , much of noises and the price is so expensive. Rooms need updating, could be cleaner. Poor maintenance of facilities Breakfast room too small and unfriendly service. low level of service. Room 423 very noisy bath tap not working properly moved us to room306 tiles around shower black mould everywhere one day room was not cleaned till 6.30 when I phoned rec, to tell them I do not rate there rooms 4star more lik e a hostel.
