The desk clerk when we arrived and the next day when we checked out -- same young woman. Courteous, helpful, pleasant, cheerful -- all while attending to multiple tasks in two or three languages! Location 1/2 block from where we returned our Avis rental car and walking distance to major sights downtown. Well I don't know about the previous reviews, but for a city trip it was well above good. Since you're in the city anyway, I don't know what do you expect to stay at a five star hotel? Breakfast was okay, eggs were done quite well. Again, eat out! I saw they have a conference center as well.
all reviews » The reception is excellent. Ordered a triple room but gave us 3 single rooms with no extra charge because of some problems in our triple room. And also gave us beverages for compensation. Interesting balcony, really enjoyed our stay. Nice, small rooms that was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was well worth the 99 dkk per person. And it is just a few blocks from the train station and Tivoli gardens. Location is great! Close to Central Station, Tivoli, City Centre all by walking distance and Copenhagen is definitely a city that you want to walk around... Staff members were all very friendly and helpful as well. We found the staff professional and efficient. They were extremely helpful to our family members that had not received their luggage from the airport. The hotel was clean. I would recommend this hotel for others. Just a 15 minute walk from Central Station. The room was clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. They serve an excellent hot breakfast in a nice dining room. Would definitely stay there again. Convenient location at walking distance from Tivoli and city center. Only a minor detail there is a shelf in the bathroom above the sink so made life difficult washing and brushing teeth as the sink is small so a bit on head banging went on but we got used to it. Tiny scandinavian-type shower. Everything was good :). Nothing. No iron or ironing board I the room (although this could be had from reception), no tea or coffee making in the rooms (again could be had in reception), would have liked toast for breakfast but no toaster, king size bed was 2 singles pushed together. Also did not like the face people could walk past your balcony if they had an adjoining room - urm one person got far more than they bargained for when they walked past! Copenhagen is ridiculously expensive!. The shower draining across the entire bathroom was a bit awkward. All good. Not much to dislike, if anything the breakfast was quite plain and the breakfast hostess was nagging us about the breakfast tickets. Overall nothing really to complain about. Tea/Coffee making facilities would have been nice. Maybe needs a bit of a decor upgrade. The old whole-floor carpeting in the room smells stuffy and caused an allergic reaction. The bathroom is not designed for more than 2 people, although the room type was Family room, no place to hang towels etc. - for the bathroom.. After showering, the water would float and not drain.. And there was no refrigerator in the room, to bad.. Nothing . Though believe fortunate to have refurbished room. Tiny bathroom, it was tough to use it. The hotel has not evening resturant however there are many nearby so wouldn't say it was much of a negative. There was alot of noise from another room, could hear everything they were saying, bit annoying when u have too get up early for flight. No room service. Organization of a surprise breakfast to celebrate our wedding day failed. Would have liked coffee facilities in room instead of having to come to reception. Would have been helpful to tell guests in advance that 26th April was a holiday and everything was closed so we could have planned better. none. the breakfast was very poor and untasty, every day sharply at 1030 we were asked out and they put a new, rich, much better looking buffet on the tables. Strange! You feel like a second category guest. And our room was described as an apartment with 2 bedrooms AND living room, in fact it was a 2 rooms apartment and one room was a living room changed into a bedroom (not a normal bed but a couch). The breakfast could be served half hour earlier as most of the hotels. The elevator is old and don't know why it wasn't working at the time of my checkout, about 6:30am. So, I had to use the stairs... four floors with heavy luggage weren't that funny. Not sure?!. TV - almost exclusively Danish programs. The shower. Staff wanting in to clean on last day at 8:oo A.M. No proper shower stall - whole bathroom is wet as drain is not able to accomodate that quantity of water. Strictly a budget property. It was extremely loud. I could hear the conversation in the next room very well. No more.
