Courteous, efficient, welcoming staff. Our city view room was surprisingly quiet and the layout of the room very conducive to privacy as well as having a desk for business. Our meal in the dining room was superb and again, the service was excellent. The pool and steam room were a welcome oasis on a rainy evening and although we didn't have time to use the spa facilities, we will be back and schedule a bit more time to really take advantage.

I had a one bedroom suite on the 18th floor with amazing views on the moutains and the city. it was huge!!! very kind and friendly staff in particular Tim. I got a smile from everybody which is great nowadays. walking distance from everything you want to look at in dowtown Vancouver. I will definitely be back. We have stayed here three times now... It's a great location for Downtown Vancouver... Great views from the hotel.. noisy however as traffic is constant but you get used to it. Staff are very helpful, rooms are large and have microwave and a coffee machine.. a great coffee shop on site too.. One of the best good priced hotels in Vancouver!!!!. The staff were very attentive and helpful. When asked to provide any extra amenities (ie. Cutting board and knife and utensils ), they happily obliged. They gave my girlfriend and I a free upgrade to one of the penthouse suits and tlthe view was just to die far! The faciltes were clean and welcoming as well. Staff were courteous, helpful and professional. Food, service and drink selection at the restaurant were excellent. The hotel's central downtown location put us within walking distance of False Creek, English Bay, Stanley Park, Gastown, the seawall, Canada Place, and BC Place - everything we were there to see. 1) Расположение. The staff at the hotel were absolutely amazing. The concierge and front desk teams were friendly and always extremely helpful. They made us feel like VIP's! Also liked the space of the room, with full kitchen...nice to have fridge, microwave and kitchen facilities. A great hotel! The access to the swimming pool could also be optimized: felt a bit like going through the underground technical area. Shame as the spa area (even if I did not tested it) looked great!. The room was a little on the dark side, but it was very romantic. Room was starting to show its age - for a room that cost over $200 a night, it didn't exactly scream luxury. No tv in the bedroom of the suite we were in. The tv is in the living room area, which I understand, but there should be one in the bedroom as well! Also, could use a bit of an upgrade of the rug and laminate in the kitchen. And the plumbing was not the best...leaky faucets, toilet not flushing properly, shower that wasted a ton of water from not working properly. Decor and bathrooms were very outdated. The hotel needs a decorative overhaul. The wallpapers, the paint, the drapes, everything looked old and not in a good way. No shuttle to and from the airport which was a huge surprise especially for the location of the hotel being right downtown... still can't get over that one. That I didn't book to stay longer :). Single glazed windows made the room cooler perhaps and less sound proof but not a big problem. Elevators were slow and often full on check out morning. The hotel is located on a busy road next to a large hospital. There is noise from the traffic and ambulances' sirens. The hotel is being upgraded, but our rooms still had single pane windows. When we checked in the staff didn't welcomed us and didn't a kind of appreciation that we chose the Century Plaza. This would be a nice thing to do, it makes it feeling good and welcoming at the location. Drab room which seemed to have furniture missing. Although the room was booked for four people there was only crockery/cutlery & seating for two. No where to unpack cases. Room 2909 was far too warm even though the baseboard heater were turned down. There was little water pressure and it was difficult to balance the warm and cold in the shower. Elevator number three the door was shaking feriously as you road the elevator to the top floors. The room is a little old and need to be renovated. Some little flaws like some furniture bit worn off, remote control not working, guest directory not updated, but minor details. nothing - it was as I expected. Our room was large and comfortable with a large kitchenette but it was well overdue a redecoration. Tv remote very dirty. It would be nice to have a jacuzzi or a hot tub next to the swimming pool. Not a thing. The only drawback was long waits for the elevator at checkout time during both days when we were there. Burrard Street is noisy day and night, and windows are not double-pane, so bring earplugs if noise bothers you. Major lack of lighting for reading in the living area. no phone book (I realize that phone books and pay phones are going away everywhere). The bed was not comfortable and our TV was an OLD early 90s TV that needed an upgrade. Nothing really. Swimming pool was out of service. The air conditioner took some time to get right. It was either too hot or too cold but we did get it right eventually. would have liked a stove and toaster and a bigger eating table. A/C leaked water on the dresser. Having to request kitchen cleaning stuff. Not being able to get help re alternative places to eat other than go 5minutes to Davie street and turn right. Toilet was quite low to the ground. Shower was variable, but not too bad. Would have liked a room safe. Bed was a little hard, but that's my personal taste.
